The summary of the first chapter. The summary of the first chapter. Now, various sentient beings, with various thoughts, will become Buddhas through their own virtuous actions. Therefore, for the sake of the meaning of various instructions, to show various thoughts, this summary is made to explain. It is said starting from "Then," etc. "Then" refers to the end of the three distinctions, that is, after showing the three distinctions. Therefore, these three distinctions are to be explained. Moreover, it should be explained truthfully. "To explain truthfully" means to explain and distinguish truthfully, meaning to explain in detail. Because all sentient beings can understand, they can also cross the ocean of samsara. So, what is it? It is said starting from "All tantras," etc., that is, the wisdom and means of all tantras, and the determination of them is to truly establish various differences. Combination also means that with various thoughts, with the difference between conventional and ultimate, the sound of all tantras that are commonly recognized is the meaning. Similarly, to show certainty, it is said starting from "Sentient beings," etc. Here, the common combination of all sentient beings is of three kinds. What is it? Because it is the nature of body, speech, and mind. Or, it is the nature of the three consciousnesses. Then, "vast form" refers to the general meaning of all yogas. That is, the nature of the object and the subject, that is, the nature of the Dharmakaya. Whatever is the object is form, sound, smell, taste, touch, etc., all of which are conscious. The object is also the three consciousnesses, among which the Alaya consciousness is the mind. The afflicted mind is without mind. Similarly, the entering consciousness is the image of the mind. Therefore, abandoning the three great vast triangles of all sentient beings, because of clinging to reality, it is a magical form. Thus, the Dharmakaya is both one and many, which is for the sake of the minds of the yogis. Therefore, by focusing on samadhi, various consciousnesses will arise, which is what is to be expressed.

It is said that one is born in that place for the sake of ripening, and so on. Here, for sentient beings, those who rely on the realm that is mainly desired, rely on objects such as form. Brahma and other gods, asuras, etc., are easy to understand. The word "etc." includes the realm of form and the realm of formlessness, as well as asuras and humans, etc. Thus, all things are the object to be pervaded. That which pervades them is the Dharmakaya. Because things are all combined, it is only consciousness. Those things are the cause of the five perfections, such as generosity, and from this, one obtains the great powerful gods such as Brahma, as well as other beings who possess the Dharma. Similarly, the five perfections are for the sake of accumulating merit. "That itself" means that the perfection of wisdom pervades those five perfections themselves. Therefore, the so-called "conventional form of appearance" means having the meaning of pervading the five perfections, having the aspect of complete knowledge, having the form of emptiness, and having the nature of all aspects. The so-called "that itself transcends the object" and so on are easy to understand. Now it is said that sentient beings are bound in samsara, and the so-called ignorance and so on are easy to understand. In order to liberate them, the Tathagata taught the means. Therefore, it is said "Buddha's power" and so on. Here, those sentient beings who fall into the suffering of samsara appear. The so-called "therefore" means "for this reason." The so-called "heroic Buddha" refers to the first Buddha, the Buddha from beginningless time, Vajradhara who arose from the clear light. It was he who saw those who suffer from the nature of affliction. They emanated as the cause of afflictions, and the so-called "by reason" means showing wisdom and means as the cause. That is also first shown to those who have the nature of desire through the method of action mudra. The cause of those is to closely enjoy the five desirable qualities. After that, knowing the continuum of emanation, therefore, by reason, the union of the inner nature is shown. That is also from the detailed classification of the four wheels that are being explained.
