Explanation of Chapter Four. Explanation of Chapter Four. "Vajra Essence Manifest Enlightenment," "The First King of Observation," etc., are easy to understand. Regarding the phrase "the hand mudra of the body," "body" refers to the action of the body. "Mudra" refers to what should not be interrupted, i.e., the vajra of the syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) purifying the fingers of the hand forming the vajra and wheel, etc. Similarly, the movement of the feet and the mudra of viewing, etc., should also be understood. Regarding the phrase "the mudra of speech," it refers to the action of speech, i.e., marked by the white vajra born from the syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), reciting the mantras of wrathful deities, etc. Regarding the phrase "the mudra of mind is a symbol," the mudra of mental practice is the created image and direct symbols, such as skulls, etc. Some scriptures say that the symbol of a drawing is a mudra, and the drawing refers to a colored mandala. The mudra refers to the symbol made of gold, etc., drawn there. Regarding the phrase "that is the meditation mandala," it refers to the symbol of the meditation deity, i.e., the symbol in the heart. That is, the skulls, etc., that are actually mentioned. Therefore, one should imitate the drawing mandalas of Pukkasila, etc., and learn to draw lions, etc. Regarding the phrase "the rope in the right hand," it is easy to understand. Regarding the phrase "wandering in all of space," "space" refers to the wisdom of knowledge. Regarding the phrase "the tantra of the dakinis," it refers to the tantra of the cause, the tantra of the result, and the tantra of means. Among them, because it is beneficial and becomes the nature of the result, it is the cause, i.e., all phenomena are the nature of the dharmadhatu without beginning or end. Therefore, because the cause does not gather the result, it is the result. Because there is no nature of realization that should be gathered. Regarding the phrase "the tantra of means," it refers to mantras, mudras, and mandala wheels, etc. Regarding the phrase "is the guru of all tantras," it refers to the unsurpassed yoga tantra, because it is the guru of action tantras and yoga tantras, etc. Regarding the phrase "vast and unfathomable," "vast" refers to the tantra of means. "Deep"

Immeasurable is the continuum of the fruit. Moreover, the wisdom of the five families of the Buddhas is not the object of others' practice. Therefore, it is said, "The nature that is not known by lineage and others," the rest is easy to understand, so it is not explained. Abiding in the supreme samadhi, it means that according to the instructions, after making mandalas of various materials for offerings, etc., the disciple enters the mandala, and first enters himself in the ritual, and after receiving the ultimate empowerment of water, etc., as the lord of the wheel, after proclaiming the blessings of truth, etc., he is covered with a cloth face cover and upper garment repeated by obstructing enemies, and abides in the samadhi that fills the entire body of minute particles with the rays of light from the heart of Heruka, which is the nature of supreme joy in the heart. The so-called empowerment of knowledge is the reversal of ignorance, which is washing, so it is empowerment. There are six kinds of empowerment that wash away the obscurations of reality, meaning, sentient beings, self, conceptualization, action, and entering consciousness in order. Moreover, it is said in this very text, "The water empowerment is the first, the crown empowerment is the second, the vajra empowerment is the third, one's own lord is the fourth, the name empowerment is the fifth, becoming a Buddha is the sixth, the vase empowerment is the seventh, the secret empowerment is the eighth, and wisdom-wisdom is the ninth." It is said so. The three will be explained below. If the empowerment of the fully enlightened Buddha is given first, how is it placed in the sixth? Although it is the first in order, it depends on the complete purification of the five wisdoms such as mirror-like wisdom, and it is placed in the sixth because the object of knowledge is completely pure. After entering the mandala, after that, by saying (Tibetan: པྲ་ཏཱིཙྪ་བཛྲ་ཧོཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रतीच्छ वज्र होः, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pratīccha vajra hoḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Receive Vajra Hum), throw a garland of flowers in the mandala, and the mantra of whatever sign it falls in front of, and by saying (Tibetan: པྲ་ཏི་གྲྀཧྞ་སྭ་མི་མཾ་སཏྭ་མ་ཧཱ་བ་ལ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रतिगृह्ण स्वमिमं सत्त्व महाबल, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pratigṛhṇa svamimaṃ sattva mahābala, Chinese literal meaning: Receive this being, great power), tying a garland of flowers on the disciple's head is because of promising to become a Buddha, it is the empowerment of the fully enlightened Buddha, that is, the empowerment of the flower garland.
