The commentary on the King of Tantras called Hevajra, Padma's sprout Vajra. The commentary on the King of Tantras called Hevajra. Padma's sprout Vajra. The commentary on the first chapter. First, the explanation of the Vajra family chapter. Because it acts, it is said to abide in the body. The afflictions together with the habitual tendencies and the obscurations of knowledge, and the abandonment of them, are said to be the abandonment of all discriminations. For example, just as the moon rises in the stainless sky and illuminates all material objects, so the Tathagata, free from obscurations, knows for himself and makes others understand. Therefore, it is said to pervade all material objects. This shows that the Tathagata is omniscient. Others say that wisdom comes from the transformation of the body, like being intoxicated by alcohol. To dispel that evil view, it is said, "Although abiding in the body, it does not arise from it." etc. If wisdom comes from the transformation of the body, then why does consciousness from elsewhere enter between semen and blood? At the time of death, consciousness should not arise in the body. Therefore, that view is said to be evil. The paths of consciousness going and coming are the channels. What are the channels? How many are there? There are thirty-two channels. etc. Because of the connection of numbers, it is said to be thirty-two. That is the worldly custom. Its name and place will be explained later. The place called great bliss is the head. From the head to the sole of the foot, the channels pervade and abide. Breath, life force, and bodhicitta, these three are friends of consciousness. These three flow in the channels. Among them, the three channels are the most excellent. etc. Why is it said to be excellent? Because it leads inward, holds, and arises. Therefore, it is said to be excellent. The one that leads inward and arises outward on the left side of the body is the extending channel. The one that leads inward and arises on the right side is the flavorful channel. The one that abides in the middle is the all-destroying channel.
