Named "The Great King of Tantras, Hevajra, A Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Second Chapter on Illusion, A Source of Remembrance" Nāgpopa Named "The Great King of Tantras, Hevajra, A Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Second Chapter on Illusion, A Source of Remembrance" Nāgpopa A Commentary on the Difficult Points of the First Chapter First: Explanation of the Vajra Family Chapter In Sanskrit: Hevajra nāma mahātantrarāja dvikalpa māyāsya pañcīka smṛti nipadā nāma. In Tibetan: Named "The Great King of Tantras, Hevajra, A Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Second Chapter on Illusion, A Source of Remembrance" Homage to the Bhagavan, Glorious Hevajra! Before the supreme Vajra Master, And Heruka, glorious protector, I bow. I will clarify the words of Hevajra, Writing this a little for remembrance. First, in order to introduce those who possess conceptual thought, it is necessary to explain the statement, what is to be stated, the connection, the purpose, and the ultimate purpose. Among these, the collection of scriptures beginning with "Thus I have heard" is the statement. The Bhagavan, glorious Heruka, and the selflessness mother, etc., are what is to be stated. The fact that these abide in the nature of the statement and what is to be stated is the connection. By proceeding with entering the mandala, etc., and completely destroying all obscurations, the spontaneous perfection of the three bodies, which are the nature of supreme great bliss, is the purpose. To perfectly accomplish the meaning of higher realms and definite goodness, as desired by all the immeasurable sentient beings abiding in samsara, is the ultimate purpose. That is: "The complete benefit of others is the Buddha, The chief of the fruits is excellent. Others are not Buddhas, etc., Therefore, that is said to be its fruit." Thus it is said. First, in order to truly gather, to show the five meanings of what, when, where, from where, and with whom, "Thus I have heard," etc., is spoken. Among these, "Thus I have heard" is the nature of all the meanings of the tantra that will appear below, and is related to hearing. "I" means not from another and not from others. "Hearing" means...

Action is apprehended by the consciousness of hearing, but not by direct perception. The term "at one time" means that at one time this was heard, and at another time other things were heard. Thus, it indicates that many teachings are correctly gathered through hearing. The term "Bhagavan" refers to one who possesses the nature of bodhicitta. Where was it heard? In the body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, and in the bhaga of the Vajra Yoginis. The term "Tathagata" refers to the immeasurable Tathagatas that have been shown. The terms "body, speech, and mind" refer to the bodhisattvas who are shown in three aspects through the distinctions of body vajra and so forth. The term "Vajra Yogini" refers to the yoginis. Their bhaga is the stacked mansion of the nature of wisdom. From whom was it heard? From the Bhagavan himself, that is, from the Vajradhara whose nature is the oneness of all dharmas. With whom? With all the Tathagatas, such as Vairochana, and with the bodhisattvas, such as body vajra, and with the yoginis, such as Anatma. This is not reasonable. How is it not reasonable? If it is said that all these initial words were not directly realized by the complete Buddha, that is not so, because the Bhagavan himself extensively explained the words such as the expositor "da." Furthermore, if it is said that the Bhagavan has turned the wheel of dharma exceedingly and has passed into nirvana, that is not so, because by the very fact of not abiding in nirvana, the Bhagavan is constantly appearing. Just as beings have different capacities, he teaches the dharma with various forms and sounds, so it is not reasonable to completely pass into nirvana. That is: Buddhas do not pass into nirvana, And the dharma will not be destroyed. This is said to indicate a certain compiler. Because of this intention, it is said that he "remains," meaning that he remains endowed with the four postures due to the various different thoughts of those to be tamed. In "Thus I have heard," and so forth, "remains" means that he remains endowed with various kinds of magical displays and miracles. Likewise.
