That which retreats merely because of conduct, not being enticed by enjoyment, that is meditation. It is also said: Here there is not the slightest action, nor is there an eater. Liberated from the doer and the eater, that is truly meditation. Thus it is said. Among the spoken merits, what is the excellence of the increase of wisdom? Some may doubt, by what means can this wisdom be manifested, should one seek methods such as from a lama? To this, it is said, "Born from the three realms," and so forth. If one praises that from which the one alone is born, then how is that from which the three realms are born not particularly excellent? Although it is so, it is because it is also incapable. Some may doubt that apart from wisdom as a method, let alone producing many, there is not even one. To this, it is said, "From the nature of skillful means and wisdom," and so forth. This wisdom is merely a skillful means, yet it is the nature of skillful means and wisdom. One observes the arising of things through skillful means and wisdom. Therefore, what was said is not false. This is what is intended. There is no contradiction in the single body that encompasses all, even in being many. It is also said: That is called non-dual wisdom, this is the supreme Bodhicitta, this is Prajnaparamita, the collection of all Paramitas, the lord of beings, stable and moving, in this very one all are born, boundless Bodhisattvas, and perfect Buddhas, and Shravakas, and so forth. Thus it is said. In order to show that in that non-dual wisdom, there are two branches of skillful means and wisdom, therefore it is said, "The form of semen," and so forth. Wanting to realize non-difference after separately realizing differences, therefore it is said, "This wisdom of one's own awareness," and so forth, because it is self-luminous, and because it is the characteristic of experience, therefore one correctly knows oneself, because it is the sphere of activity beyond the path, therefore it is not proclaimed by others. The path of speech is the path of words, that is, the throat and so forth. Transcending that is transcending the path of speech, that is, Bhagavan Vajradhara. Its sphere of activity is the realm beyond the path of speech. Again it is said:

Because of the nature of non-proliferation itself, he is the brave proclaimer. Thus it is said. If so, how can we, who are not Buddhas, know the realm of activity of the Bhagavan? If we remain in ignorance, there will be doubt. This is for the sake of the order of blessings. Thus and so on it is said. Blessing is the meaning of descending. The order of that is the order of the Buddha's blessing, which is the wisdom of self-awareness. The reason for the blessing is stated: Such is the wisdom of omniscience. It is said that omniscience is the Buddha, the Bhagavan. Wisdom is the nature of its freedom from defilements. Such is like that, as many as are called all-knowing wisdom. Therefore, its blessing will arise, what is so wonderful about this? The nature of that all-knowing wisdom is that everything is suppressed in an instant. Thus and so on it is said. Because of the oneness of taste at the moment of the arising of wisdom, these are the earth and so on. What is called self-nature knowledge is that it should not be suppressed as it becomes self-aware. Because of such all-knowing wisdom, it is also a kind of example of it. What is called existence is the body of sentient beings, and it exists there. Because ignorance and hatred arise here, it is existence. Accomplishment is the ability to accomplish the benefit of oneself and others. Purity is all the completely purified dharmas. Therefore, without wisdom, it is not by treatises and established tenets and so on. Therefore, wisdom should be stabilized. In what way? If there is doubt, it is said that it is yoga itself. That itself is the mind of enlightenment, without the proliferation of the five families. Its yoga is its practice. Just as a river flows and a lamp and so on abide in a continuous stream. Therefore, in this way, the yogi of suchness should abide day and night, without distinction between night and day. Otherwise, the example of the flow of a river and so on is not reasonable.
