Commentary on the Difficult Points of the First Chapter. Commentary on the Difficult Points of the First Chapter. First: The Chapter of the Vajra Family. In the language of India: Kaumudi Panjika Nama. In Tibetan: A Commentary on the Difficult Points Called Kaumudi. Homage to Hevajra! Elephant, horse, etc., eight diseases, holding eight hands, the remaining eight hands of the left. The perfection of the eight powers, the first of wealth-holders, the powers of holding in order. In the cloudless sky, the half-moon of eight petals, subduing the radiance, possessing a garland of skulls. Branches of the hands, the crown adorned with flowers, Heruka, auspicious one, have mercy on me! Bodhisattva Vajragarbha, etc., the supreme realm of practice, Hevajra. This is by the power of the guru, I will also explain. Stained by the impurity of evil manifestation, the remainder of the name. Whatever is obscured by darkness, the lotus garden is no different. From obscuration, that Kaumudi is the same, this Kaumudi. The path of the words of Hevajra will be collected. The word of the phrase "thus said" is from "thus said by me," etc., to the ultimate tantra of "having said thus." "Said by me" means the collector Vajragarbha. "Heard" means habituated. From where? "Bhagavan" means from the Bhagavan. "Resides" means from the place of dwelling. By the connection of hearing, distinguishing for the sake of complete transformation, the fifth meaning is the first. Or, what is heard by the teacher Vajradhara is hearing. Here, the Bhagavan Vajradhara, even in one. By the nature of all, because of the multitude of forms, this is to be taught, and there is no contradiction between the teacher and the teaching. Thus, there is no contradiction here either. Even in many, the Bhagavan himself should realize here. The speaker is me, the Dharma is also me. Possessing one's own retinue, the listener is me. And so on. Or, "thus said by me" is how the letters of Evam Maya are perfectly accomplished in the four letters. Thus, it is connected to "the Bhagavan resides." The meaning is like this: in the nature of Evam Maya, the Bhagavan resides. It should be said thus. The letters of Evam Maya
