Third, Explanation of the Chapter on Deities. Third, Explanation of the Chapter on Deities. Now, in the Vajra Family chapter, the Body Vajra Nirmana Body has been closely shown. In the Mantra chapter, the Speech Vajra Sambhogakaya is also clearly expressed. For the sake of realizing the Mind Vajra Dharmakaya, it is said, "The chapter on deities will be explained," which is the meaning. It is of two kinds: those with bodies and the nature of mantras. Both should be symbolized in the two chapters just mentioned. Now, in order to clarify the deities with the nature of wisdom, inseparable from the two, it is said, "The chapter on deities will be explained," which is the meaning. In that: First, loving-kindness should be meditated upon. Second, compassion should be meditated upon. Third, joy should be meditated upon. All the rest is equanimity. So it is said. Therefore, again, emptiness is enlightenment. The second is the collection of seeds. The third is the completion of the image. The fourth is the placement of letters. So it is said. First, emptiness is enlightenment, emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, the three doors of liberation should be meditated upon. The second is the collection of seeds. It is said that after that, whatever deity is to be meditated upon, the generation mantra of that deity is collected, and the nature of true collection is the second. The third is the completion of the image. It is said that the hands, face, body color, and marks are completed, which is the third. The fourth is the placement of letters. It is said that because it is immutable, it is the Immutable Vajradhara. It is also placed and generated, and it is the nature of immovability. It becomes the lord of one's own family on the crown of the head, and the deities should be meditated upon in such an order, which is the fourth. Or: First, emptiness is enlightenment. It is said that the first is non-duality. That is also, emptiness is enlightenment, non-conceptual wisdom. The second is the collection of seeds. It is said that it is because the Mind Vajra rides on Nada. That is also, the second truly collects and gathers in the manner of seeds. The third is the completion of the image. It is said that the body is the nature of Ali and Kali Nada, for the sake of generating the body. The fourth is the placement of letters. It is said that it places.

is laughter, the indivisibility of the three vajras. That is also a letter, that is unmoving. It should be cultivated and perfected through the yoga of meditative absorption, this is the sequence. In karma mudra, the sequence of this is through the sequence of joy and so on. In dharma mudra, the sequence of tummo yoga is through the sequence of the four wheels. In mahamudra, since the three mudras are undifferentiated, the sequence is in order to manifestly and completely awaken to the state of omniscience. Therefore, cultivate loving-kindness again. Wishing all sentient beings to be happy like an only child. Secondly, compassion is the fruit. Wishing to completely remove and liberate from the forms of suffering such as cataracts, and the nature of non-virtue, the cause of suffering. Joy is when all sentient beings are liberated from suffering and the cause of suffering, and are endowed with happiness, and the mind is satisfied, that is joy. Equanimity is the characteristic of being liberated from the eight worldly dharmas. All the rest refers to the ultimate end of perfect and complete enlightenment. Or, loving-kindness is the very joy of being like an only child. From me all beings arose. From me also arose these three worlds. I pervade all this. I have not seen any other nature of beings. This is from the teachings. Secondly, compassion refers to the nature that was spoken of. Thirdly, joy refers to the inseparability of the two by its very nature. All the rest is equanimity, meaning the inseparability of the two, transcending thought. Or, the absence of difference between the senses and objects is loving-kindness, the nature of joy. Compassion is kam (kaṃ, Sanskrit seed syllable, water), is bliss. Runa (rūṇa, Sanskrit seed syllable, arrow) is connected and completely enters into self-nature, therefore compassion is the nature of supreme joy. Joy is the nature of bliss and attachment, the nature of special joy. Equanimity is the co-emergent nature that guides attachment and non-attachment to liberation. Or, realizing non-duality through the sound of loving-kindness is wisdom. Compassion is the nature of joy, is skillful means. Joy refers to the two
