Second, Explanation of the Chapter on Mantras. Second, Explanation of the Chapter on Mantras. This is the Body Vajra, having closely shown the inseparability of the Three Vajras. In order to make the Speech Vajra also manifest as the nature of the Three Vajras, the Bhagavan spoke, "The Chapter on Mantras shall be explained." The word "mantra" refers to the Speech Vajra. Its meaning is as follows: "Because the mind is protective, it is manifestly expressed as mantra." "Mind" is consciousness. "Protecting" means guarding, that is, because the Vajra of the mind is embraced by Nada. As the Bhagavan also said, "From the attachment following great desire, the maiden embraces the body." The word "maiden" refers to wind, which is also Nada. Since that Nada pervades all parts of the body, mantra is indeed inseparable from the Three Vajras. Therefore, the sound that urges the meaning of that alone is mantra. That which obscures and frightens is Phat (ཕཊ།). Because it takes and holds, it is the Chapter on Mantras. "It shall be explained" means that sound is for the sake of the dharma that is manifestly expressed. Sound itself should be well shown. Sound is individually understood by sound, and it becomes the sound of the inner nature. Thus, Vajradhara himself, indivisible, the nature of Nada, is well shown. Thus, the yogi, having dispelled all obstacles, should manifest the wheel of the mandala, etc. Initially, the mantra for the torma offering to all beings was spoken: "Om Ah Kara Mukham Sarva Dharma Nam Adya Nutpannatvat Om Ah Hum Phat Svaha" (ༀ་ཨ་ཀཱ་རོ་མུ་ཁཾ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཱ་ཎཱཾ་ཨཱ་དྱ་ནུ་ཏྤནྣ་ཏྭཱཏ་ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,oṃ akāro mukhaṃ sarva dharmāṇāṃ ādyanutpannatvāt oṃ āḥ hūṃ phaṭ svāhā,Om, A is the mouth, all dharmas, are primordially unborn, Om, Ah, Hum, Phat, Svaha!). This is the mantra for offering the torma to all beings. "Beings" are those with life. "All" means without remainder, without exception, belonging to the six realms of gods, etc. The offering to them is to satisfy them with offerings. "Mantra" means for that purpose, that is, the letter A. How is it? It is the door of all dharmas, the primordial cause. "Om" means to promise. How is it? It is said, "Because it is unborn from the beginning, the nature of all dharmas is unborn." Those dharmas are also the essence of the Three Vajras: Om Ah Hum.

is the nature of Oṃ. Phaṭ svāhā is the nature of wisdom and means, therefore phaṭ is wisdom and svāhā is means. This shows that all dharmas are the nature of the five wisdoms and the three bodies. Alternatively, Oṃ represents the conventional truth, and the letter A represents the ultimate truth. Both are the gate of all dharmas, because they are unborn from the beginning. The first is the beginning, and the nature of the letter Oṃ is the conventional truth. Because it is unborn from the beginning, it is the nature of the ultimate truth. Therefore, there is no difference between the two, and there is no investigation. Therefore, Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Phaṭ are also not different, because they are inseparable. How are they inseparable? Because svāhā is the body, speech, and mind of the three vajras as one, and Hā represents Vajradhara and Nairātmyā as inseparable. The mantra called the torma of all beings means to satisfy all sentient beings, is the nature of bodhicitta, is the embodiment of vajra offerings, and is a symbol that urges that meaning. Alternatively, kāraḥ is the agent and action, and such an agent is akāra. What is it? All dharmas. Why? Because it is unborn from the beginning. Therefore, the gate is the letter Oṃ, and the three vajras are inseparable. That is Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Phaṭ is wisdom, and Svāhā is means. These two are inseparable, the letter Oṃ is the three vajras, and similarly, the letters Āḥ and Hūṃ are also. It is only the nature of those three, and the three are established in the mandala of the nature of the nine. Now, having explained the mantra of the nature of collecting all the Tathāgatas, then the nature of expansion is spoken. Bhrūṃ Āṃ Jrīṃ Khaṃ Hūṃ. Now are the seed syllables of the Tathāgatas. Bhūṃ is Vairocana, Oṃ is Ratnasambhava, Zī is Amitābha, Khaṃ is Amoghasiddhi, and Hūṃ is Akṣobhya. These two are the nature of expansion and collection, the vajra holder of the fruit, called Hevajra, is the sixteen-armed one, because there is no difference. That mantra should be recited. Oṃ Deva Pitsu Vajra Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Oṃ represents the body vajra, that
