Commentary on the First Chapter. Commentary on the First Chapter. First, Explanation of the Chapter on the Vajra Family. In Sanskrit: Śrī Hevajra Tantra Rājatīkā Subiṣada Saṃbuṭa Nāma. In Tibetan: Called "The Extremely Pure Union, Commentary on the Glorious Hevajra, King of Tantras." Homage to glorious Vajrasattva! By merely remembering his feet, saṃsāra will surely be liberated. To that supreme guru and mother, I constantly pay homage. Of one, two, three, four, five, six, the nature of the ḍākinī's own nature. The symbol of that Hevajra, with the flower of speech I offer. When meditating on that equality of taste, which is equal to space, the experience with desire is thus completely blissful, and for that reason. The oral instruction of the feet of the supreme guru, accomplished from the great self-nature. On the Hevajra Tantra, my explanation is extremely pure. This is the true and complete enlightenment of Hevajra. That is four aspects, and all four are the nature of complete purity. That is the door shown by the speaker and the spoken itself. In order to clarify the principles of the Great Vehicle Mantra, for the sake of the complete benefit of beings, such as "Thus I have heard," and so on, up to the ultimate end of the saffron seed being the letter A, with the sixteen mudrās, etc., the pure form of Heruka is shown to be in union. That should be clarified, the sound such as "Thus I have heard," and so on, Whatever is not sound, such as the eye-mother, etc., and correctly combining the intention with the vowels, and the harmlessness of non-intention, in order to ascertain that meaning, the principle of mantra should be clarified. The sound of mantra has three letters, namely the nature of vowels and consonants, the nature of male, female, and neuter, sixteen vowels such as the letter A, and thirty-four consonants such as the letter GA. Only these two are called Āli Kālī, and each of these has wisdom and, the distinction of means, having the nature of the three vajras, the four elements, and the five wisdoms. The characteristic of appearing only at the beginning is the stable nature of the practitioner.
