For the sake of that wisdom, to thoroughly understand the cause, and also that chapter where the offering of wisdom is manifestly proclaimed, is also called that. These are from the explanation of the Hevajra, the eleventh chapter of the second examination. Chapter Twelve, Explaining the Four Empowerments. The giving of empowerment preceded by verses, and the offering of wisdom preceded by the blessing of the vajra and lotus, is said to be so. The twelfth chapter was spoken to express that meaning. Starting with "Then," etc. "Then" means after offering, teaching, and hearing. The Vajradhara is, the instruction to Vajrasattva. What instruction was given? It is said, the meaning of the four empowerments. Whenever, with the particle "also," for something that does not exist, at that time, with the verses of the four kinds of empowerments of the teacher, etc., it becomes the four empowerments. That verse of the four empowerments and how it is, one should look at it, shaking one's head and asking. That also comes from the words "to be shown." "To be shown" means that after asking, the verses of the four empowerments in the Lord's answer to the question, should be shown to abide. Those themselves were spoken, starting from "Vajra Great," etc., the verses of the empowerment of water, crown, vajra, bell, owner, and name are spoken in other tantras. To pray for the meaning of empowerment, one should look at it as the meaning of offering gifts. To teach the mantra of blessing the wisdom of the five families, etc., it was spoken, starting from "Om at the crown," etc. In the middle of the eyebrow of wisdom are the white letters Hum(藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽)and Ah(藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿). In the heart is the letter Hum, which means that the blue letter Hum abides on the sun in the heart. With this mere approximate representation, the navel, etc., should be seen as the letter Sva(藏文:སྭཱ,梵文天城体:स्वा,梵文罗马拟音:svā,汉语字面意思:娑), etc. There, in the navel, the yellow letter Sva abides on the sun. In the secret place is the red letter A abiding on the sun. On both thighs are the green letters Ha abiding on the sun. The appearance of the letter Ah on the stamen means that the lotus is the letter Hum, and the stamen is the letter Ah. The letter Hum.

The various vajras born from the letter ིག་, and the jewel born from the letter Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:om,汉语字面意思:嗡), in the seed-pod hole of that jewel, the yellow letter Phat (藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट्,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:啪) shows the third letter. The seed-pod has the form of the letter Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), thus summarizing the essence of the tantra. Chapter Twelve, the nature of the two investigations, is called the Hevajra Tantra, the nature of the two investigations. These are from the explanation of Hevajra, the second investigation is complete. Here, it is truly hidden in the vessel of the heart, relying on the guru's instructions to understand the meaning of the tantra, because memory dwells in my heart, I write. Because understanding the scriptures is the wealth of the wise. If this instruction given by the guru is without error, it arises from the innate intention and is perfected. When one does not rely on traditional explanations for a long time, how can experience be clearly presented at that time? The method of purifying karma and afflictions, the incomparable explanation of Hevajra, is that whatever merit I have gained, may it enable all beings to possess Hevajra. The explanation of Hevajra, made by Bhava Bhadra, is complete. The Indian Abbot Punyakirti, and the reviser translator Sonam Gyaltsen, translated it to the extent that it does not contradict the meaning of the words. This is not for the sake of gain and fame, but for the benefit of others in the future, and at the request of his own disciples, translating this work with respect and joy, whatever merit is gained is dedicated to the benefit of all beings.
