Because it is the "chief," the hunter, craving meat, makes offerings, and is born with meager merit from karma. Thus, the righteous one said it possesses pervasiveness. Among them, the statement that one is born as a sentient being due to attachment to the skin of a deer is not established as pervasive. Furthermore, the Well-Protected one said: First, cultivate great compassion. Thus, again, because one is ruined by taking life, how can the wise one who is certain of its meaning and diligently engages in it not be an object of ridicule? Some also say that this is wisdom. Its meaning is that one who generates compassion for oneself and kills is clever, wise, and learned, according to those stories. There, with previous knowledge, it is said to be inverted and not wise. Therefore, it is also said that the act of compassion, which is to take away the suffering of beings, is the cause of all accomplishments. To understand that meaning, it is said in "compassion" and so forth, compassion is characterized by the desire to liberate beings from suffering and the causes of suffering. If that is the case, then how are supernormal powers, etc., spoken of? In "cruel" and so forth, cruelty is unkind because it increases suffering for oneself through actions such as harming the Three Jewels. By abandoning those, all supernormal powers, etc., are merely very famous for the purpose of uniting those with the correct path. And how is that? It is said, in "chief of rituals" and so forth, ritual means accomplishing through ritual. That is also the chief, that is, the supreme. Therefore, through the words "chief of rituals," one should understand the ritual of the chief, because it is superior from among the meanings of expressing compassion. Supernormal powers, etc., are permitted only for sentient beings who have mostly compassionate minds. Therefore, why give suffering to the cruel? Because as long as one turns away from the cause of sin, it is not about uniting with or separating from sentient beings. This also shows that the wisdom of supernormal powers, etc., is also a distinction of the extreme union of compassion. Among them, in the place of assembly, three things are shown for the purpose of what is to be done.

In short, regarding "like this" etc., the so-called "Daytime Lord Vajradhara" means that daytime is the part of skillful means. That is, it transforms from the nature of luminosity into merit. Night is the part of wisdom, that is, because it is free from defilement, it becomes a fault. Merit and faults are skillful means and wisdom. Therefore, the nature of merit and faults is in the time of going and coming. In this way, what are Nirvana and Samsara like, other than merit and faults? In this way, merit and faults are sometimes also Nirvana, and sometimes also Samsara. Because of impurity, merit is also Samsara. From complete purity, faults are also Nirvana. That is, because of having manifest attachment, Nirvana is also a fault. Because there is no manifest attachment, Samsara is also a merit. Regarding "do not do a little" etc., the actions of a noble person are "to do", such as giving etc. The opposite of this is "not to do". "Not existing" means non-existence. "Not to eat" means things that should not be eaten, such as Gokudahana etc. "Not existing" means that although it is so, these things can be eaten. "Not to think" means doing good deeds, so it is said "not to think", that is, not thinking for others, it should not be thought about. "Not to speak" means holding shameful words and not speaking them, that is, language that does not clearly show to others. Also, not speaking those non-virtues means that those non-virtues do not exist. This also shows the confession of sins. Or, all things that should not be done, that is, things that are contrary to the mundane, do not exist. Non-existence means not proper, killing etc. are the three evil deeds of the body. The evil deeds of speech are the four types of lying etc. The evil deeds of mind are the three types of greed etc. Therefore, the so-called "of the body" etc. means that they should not be accepted, because they themselves have faults. Therefore, for what reason should all virtues be believed in more like illusions, rather than non-virtues, but constantly arise from the very conduct of Bodhi. What is the self-other exchange that is spoken of?
