Fifth, the Chapter on Suchness. Fifth, the Chapter on Suchness. Now, I will speak about the four suchnesses, beginning with my own suchness, which have been briefly indicated and will be explained in detail. Starting with "now" and so on. After that, it is after the completion of the gods. Because the gods, having recognized and meditated on suchness, proceed to perfect enlightenment. Suchness refers to the four types of suchness. Among them, when objects arise, they are their consciousness and the five aggregates. Their nature is the inherent nature, which is the characteristic of one and many, and so on. Its suchness is the nature of selflessness, up to "non-existence of things." It is also said: " निश्चितं सर्वभावानां, शुद्धा तथता मता ॥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Roman transliteration, Literal Chinese meaning) निश्चितं सर्वभावानां, śuddhā tathatā matā ॥ , निश्चितं सर्वभावानां, śuddhā tathatā matā ॥ , Certainly, for all things, purity is considered suchness." Alternatively, the sense faculty that determines the nature of objects and so on is the nature of grasping. Therefore, the basis that is certainly changing, and what is relied upon and what is aimed at, are the five aggregates. Its nature is its own characteristic. Thus it is said, form is the characteristic of being formable. Feeling is the characteristic of experiencing. Perception is the characteristic of apprehending signs. Formation is the characteristic of manifestly forming. Consciousness is the characteristic of the consciousness of objects. Their suchness is as before. It is also said that by nature, etc., nature is the original nature. Among them, "non-existence" refers to what is conceived by children, the non-existence of the characteristic of one and many. Self-nature is also from above to above. Why? It is said, form, that is, the characteristics of white and yellow, etc., and long and short, etc., are harmed by the measure of oneness, etc., so they do not exist. Or, one's own nature is not constantly existing in the place of nature, but by the suchness of selflessness, it is the characteristic of the nature of form, etc. Because seeing selflessness, oneness, etc., do not exist. In any case, both suchnesses abide in the nature of merely selflessness. If objects such as form, etc.

If it is acceptable to say "non-existent," then do the senses such as the eyes and their consciousness exist? It is said: In "no seer," "seer" refers to the viewer, the eye. Whose eye is viewing? By examining in this way, its self-nature does not arise. The word "also" refers to its consciousness. Neither of these exists, because this is not negated by valid cognition. Showing negation with scripture: Just like an image in a mirror, although it is seen, it is not there. Likewise, both existent and non-existent, one and many, should be abandoned. This is also stated in other scriptures. Therefore, from the non-existence of form onwards, to the non-existence of sound, smell, and so on. Similarly, sound, ear, and their consciousness are also the same. "Hearer" refers to the sense of the ear. "Smeller" refers to the sense of the nose. "Taster" refers to the sense of the tongue. "Toucher" refers to the dharma associated with touch, the toucher being the sense of the body. "Mind" refers to the sense of the mind. "Mentally arisen" refers to happiness and so on. For all of these, how do the words "also" and "also" each prevent their respective consciousness? Alternatively, in terms of being apprehended by a definitive sense, and so on, form and so on do not exist, because they are not things. Therefore, only selflessness exists. This is the thusness called selflessness, and for those who meditate on the pure aspects of the form aggregate of the gods and so on, great uncontaminated bliss will be accomplished. So, when should one meditate? What should be manifested is not the object of the senses, but something similar to it, or some think that one should meditate after realization, and some also think that one should manifest the co-emergent through meditation, and one should also meditate after seeing and directly realizing the thusness. Therefore, one should manifest and realize something similar to it. It is said: "Generator" and so on, here one should also know the word "daughter," for this, "daughter" arises from the language that is to be explained. Yoga means union. Constant means the end of samsara.
