A Praise to the Bhagavan Buddha, Praising the Praiseworthy, Praising in a Way That Cannot Be Surpassed by Praise. Mati Citra. A Praise to the Bhagavan Buddha, Praising the Praiseworthy, Praising in a Way That Cannot Be Surpassed by Praise. Mati Citra. Chapter One: Praise That Cannot Be Surpassed by Praise. In Sanskrit: Varṇārhavarṇa Bhagawato Buddhas Totra Ashakya Stavana Nama. In Tibetan: A Praise to the Bhagavan Buddha, Praising the Praiseworthy, Praising in a Way That Cannot Be Surpassed by Praise, is completed. I prostrate to the Three Jewels. Not knowing the field and non-field, merely following after the sound, my past faults, whatever praises were spoken that were not praises, that which is stained by the mud of speech, the Able One washes away with the stream of merit, relying on you who are departing, this is begun to be thoroughly cleansed. This is whatever fault I have committed in the supreme assembly, blinded by ignorance, may the faults of that sin be a cleansing that eliminates them. When I am in nirvana, your words and your, whatever is the declaration of qualities, I have not deviated from the two paths of words. This speech is only the essence, there is no other meaning than that, if speaking, may I speak this, or may I not speak. Your Dharma is the only one, equal to you, you alone possess it, therefore all other dharmas, compared to you, are not superior. If the Buddha's dharmas, when contemplated, all the excellent things, become like impure things. If there is no one like you, what need is there to mention the superior? Compared to you, a slight difference, not even a little inferior exists. Guide, what do you have, that can be used as an example, because there is no example, therefore the path of example has been abandoned, I prostrate to you who are incomparable. The Buddha's Dharma surpasses measurement, therefore other individuals, even those who have attained similar liberation, compared to you, the difference is extremely great. Only similar in praise, if someone does not know the difference, then they compare the emptiness of a pore, to the smallness of space. Who can count the countless? Who can measure the immeasurable? Your qualities, number, and power cannot be measured. How like a wish-fulfilling jewel?

A garden of trees, like wandering in the boundless. I serve you with good deeds, never satisfied, unable to measure. The ocean of virtues, the root of merit, your Tathagata's Dharma. If it could be proclaimed, even the sky would not be able to contain it. Offering to your manifestation, the teacher of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Becoming the crest jewel of all Shravakas, for the profound following. Because you are the all-knowing one, the Bhagavan said: Do not be weary. The profundity of the Buddha's Dharma is spoken without weariness. If even those chief ones feel incapable of you, How could a worm like me, an impure being, ever conceive of it? You, the great Sal tree, the branches of virtue, with loving-kindness. For those who submit, this being, just takes a little. The great rain cloud masses, pouring down streams of rain. What does it matter if the marmot, tormented by the summer heat, is nourished? From the Anavatapta lake, four great rivers flow. Even that cannot be exhausted, what need to mention other inflows? The sources of jewels, even if they make the world prosperous, are not enough. I think of the praise of your virtues, Protector, as just like that. Striving to gather flowers of virtue from your teachings, With my own flowers, like a tree, I offer you flowers. Like the source of one's own wealth, like one's own mountain of weapons, Like one's own fragrance of sandalwood, like one's own ocean of water, With the gold that arises from oneself, like the jewel that produces gold. Gathered from your teachings, I offer you with virtues. From the center of the sky, all the moonlight. Pours down in a heap, and if the moonlight falls on the ground and opens, Won't the garden of kumuda flowers flourish? Likewise, possessing immeasurable water of virtue, The praise of the Victorious One is a boundless ocean, one aspect of it ༄། Just by proclaiming it, beings with faith will not fail to possess the fruit of their desires. Praising the Buddha's words has fruit, the goods of birth sell easily, a path without obstacles. Becoming a vehicle of Brahma, the root of faith and other virtues, the root of saffron.
