The Lamp Illuminating the Path of the Two Accumulations by Gyalsé Rinchen, a Transmission of the Definitive Meaning and Six Yogas of the Omniscient Lord of Dharma. The Lamp Illuminating the Path of the Two Accumulations by Gyalsé Rinchen, a Transmission of the Definitive Meaning and Six Yogas of the Omniscient Lord of Dharma. May the winds of the two accumulations clear away the clouds of the two obscurations, may the two bodies be manifest, and may the two benefits be spontaneously accomplished. To the glorious lama, the Kalachakra, who is the guide on the path of the two accumulations, who is the glory of beings, I pay homage. Here, I will speak of the lamp that illuminates the path of the two accumulations. If the two accumulations are not complete, the two obscurations will not arise. If the two obscurations are not purified, the two bodies will not be attained. If the two bodies are not attained, the two benefits will not be accomplished. Therefore, one should always strive to accumulate the two accumulations. The meaning of what was said is that the two accumulations are the accumulations of merit and wisdom. The two obscurations are the afflictive obscurations and the cognitive obscurations, etc. The two bodies are the Dharmakaya and the Rupakaya. The two benefits are the benefit of oneself and the benefit of others. The meaning of these will be explained in a little more detail. Of the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, the accumulation of merit is the five perfections from generosity to meditation. The accumulation of wisdom is the profound Prajnaparamita. Thus, Lord Maitreya said: 'Generosity, discipline, and the accumulation of meditation are the accumulation of wisdom. These three are both, and all five are the accumulation of wisdom.' The five perfections of the accumulation of meditation can be summarized into three objects of meditation and practiced. Thus, he also said: 'The meditation that arises from generosity is generosity, the discipline that arises from discipline is discipline. Patience and the two meditations are the pervasive arising from meditation.' Of the meditation that arises from generosity, there are two: the part that is in harmony with liberation and the part that is in harmony with merit. The generosity that is in harmony with liberation is transformed into the part that is in harmony with liberation when the field, intention, and object are completely pure. The pure field is the lama and the Three Jewels. Making the lama the object transforms it into the virtue that is in harmony with liberation. As the Guhyasamaja says: 'The body, speech, and mind of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who dwell in the ten directions.'

'Even more superior than my and Vajra's meditative absorption is the pore of the master!' Mainly from the tantras that fully embrace the qualities of the guru: 'Speaking with a smiling face and frankness, with trust, caution, and respect, pleasing the guru for one day destroys the great sins of doing, instigating, and rejoicing in billions of eons, and one becomes a Buddha. Conversely, if one deviates from this, one destroys all virtues and goes to hell.' Furthermore, from the Five Gradual Stages: 'Abandon all offerings and properly perform the guru's offering. By pleasing him, one will attain the supreme state of omniscience.' The scriptures also state that even a small act of reverence towards the Buddha can lead to liberation: 'Even a small act of respect towards the Sugata will not be without a small result.' It was heard before that covering warm porridge with coarse cloth, without salt, resulted in such a great outcome. The scriptures also state that making offerings to the Dharma and Sangha can also create favorable conditions for liberation: 'The Dharma of cessation, free from desire, is inseparable from the Dharmakaya; the Dharma of the path, free from desire, is the union of cessation and the path in meditation.' The Sangha who practice this Dharma are the Bodhisattva Sangha, therefore, these supreme Three Jewels are fields of merit, and whatever is used by body, speech, and mind will be transformed into a great accumulation of meditation. As stated in the sutra: 'The qualities of the Buddha are inconceivable, the qualities of the Dharma are inconceivable, the qualities of the Sangha are inconceivable. If one has faith in the inconceivable, the ripening result is also inconceivable.' Generosity that is in harmony with merit is when the field, intention, and object are all pure. Such as the thirty-two impure gifts mentioned in the Sutra Requested by the Hermit Gyasa. Therefore, it is important to strive for pure generosity and other virtues that are free from these impurities. The intention of motivation transforms virtue into a condition conducive to liberation. First, generate the mind of enlightenment of aspiration and engagement, motivated by compassion focused on all sentient beings, and then all the generosity and other virtues that are accomplished are embraced by the great mind of enlightenment. As Avalokiteshvara said: 'With the thought of cherishing all sentient beings supremely.' From the Manifestation of Perfect Enlightenment: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
