I propitiate the glorious Bhairava (Frightful Vajra). With the right leg bent and the left extended in a striding posture, His body is adorned with charnel ground ornaments, His splendor blazes like dark clouds. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The root face is that of a buffalo, Uttering the sounds of Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable) and Phaṭ (藏文：ཕཊ，梵文天城体：फट，梵文罗马拟音：phaṭ，汉语字面意思：destroy), he subdues the wicked, Vajra horns blaze with flames. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The right face is blue like the sky, With fangs of conch shell, the tongue is rolled, He causes thousands of obstructing spirits to be terrified. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The left face is white like a snow mountain, He confounds the demon armies engaged in battle, The hero is victorious over the three worlds. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The upper face is red, broadly smiling, The vajra laughter resounds greatly, He is victorious in the abodes of demons and Yama (Lord of Death). I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The right face has the light of the blazing sun, The tongue rolls like lightning, the white teeth are bared, He obtains the destruction of the four Māras (demons). I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The left face emits exceedingly smoky breath, He makes demons and Yama stiff with fear, The Vajra Ḍākinī (female spirit) is unbearable. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The upper face is golden in color, like gentle Mañjuśrī (Gentle Glory), Adorned with five tufts of hair, exceedingly gentle, The face of a hero, the essence of loving-kindness. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The right face is yellow, casting a wrathful gaze, Wrathful furrows gather at the tip of the nose, He makes even fearful ones afraid. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The left face is black like eye medicine, The wind of twenty-one thousand six hundred breaths, The face of the great hero who slays. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The red hair blazes upwards, The head is adorned with five dry skulls, The form of a demon, a terrifying body. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. All the wrathful faces have three eyes glaring, The beard blazes like the fire at the end of time, The supreme body is exalted like Mount Meru (King of Mountains). I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. The right hands, in order, hold: A fine axe, a vajra, a hooked knife, An arrow, a wheel, a stake, and a short spear. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava. He brandishes a blazing wooden club of wisdom, He holds a Dharma-nature sharp blade and a curved knife, He hurls a single-pointed vajra into the sky. I propitiate the Vajra Bhairava.
