The reason for taking this as the basis is that, through the division of the three, ground, path, and result, if speaking from the ground perspective, as stated in "Auspicious and Beautiful," for the spontaneously accomplished, uncertain ground appearance, whether or not the uncertain compassion grasps its own ground, the liberation and delusion of samsara and nirvana become the ground. For example, the conch itself appears as white and yellow, but the color of the conch has never changed from white. Like this, the spontaneously accomplished, precious inner space of the ground appearance, the self-appearing enjoyment body's manifestation, is the basis of liberation. As stated in the "Treasury of Words and Meanings," "The ground appearance is the basis of liberation, and primordial purity is the place of liberation. Distinguishing these two is also extremely important, but very few can distinguish them well." Thus it is said. However, due to the power of ignorance, just as the habit of the conch appearing yellow becomes a habit, the spontaneously accomplished appearance itself is confused into the dharma of samsara, therefore it also becomes the basis of both samsara and nirvana. Therefore, in the "Garland of Pearls," it says, "Although the basis of delusion is said to be many, it is spontaneous accomplishment and compassion." Thus it is said. Moreover, from the secret arising of the wisdom self-born lamp, the wisdom of awareness, the essence, nature, and compassion of the three layers, the self-power perfected into the five wisdoms, the five lights, the perfect enjoyment body's signs and examples, the five bodies, and the emanation body, etc., from which delusion arises, and is wrapped in the inner space of the image or habit. As stated in the "Tantra of the Wisdom Lamp," "Is there anything else besides this? Secret Lord, these five wisdoms are called the wisdom abiding in the ground. The five lights are called the lights that hold characteristics. The five bodies are the compassionate emanation bodies, having eyes of light." Thus it is said. As stated in the "Extensive Sutra," "The ground is pure in the mirror wisdom, throwing away conceptual thoughts is confused into water." and so on. This spontaneously accomplished ground appearance is awareness, the dharma body, wisdom, the body of the self-born lamp of wisdom, the great seal, abiding as the support, the self-appearing enjoyment body's appearance is real, therefore recognizing it is the basis of liberation. Therefore, from the determination of the path, or the body's skillful means tantra, the body's support is the ground, what the mind relies on, relative and ultimate (empty ground with qualities), appearance and emptiness (skillful means and skillful means born), skillful means and wisdom (the basis of maturation and the actual result, annotation), generation stage and...

The stages: Illusory body and clear light, spontaneous presence and primordial purity, form body and dharma body, the basis body and the wisdom of the basis. From the definitive understanding of these, now, at the time of the path, the basis for the means of realization is the utterly pure illusory body and clear light, or the form body and dharma body, which are the great equality, the very nature of non-duality. Abiding in the accumulation of habitual patterns, entrusting oneself to oneself, this is the unsurpassed view of the clear light heart essence, the view of the clear lamp, perfected through skill. In the view of conduct as means, it is the view of the lamp itself. Thus it is said. The Root Tantra of Sound Transcendence says: Outer and inner and secret, and onlyness and the wisdom of space. The Tantra of the Buddha's Own Nature says: The breakthrough of the vision of the bindu without attachment is seeing with the vision of wisdom. As these say, the basis is the hand gesture of the deity of appearance, or the illusory body, the form body. The basis of the wisdom of the basis is space and bindu, the sheep thread, the three channels abiding in the body. The way to introduce and practice this is especially absent below the Great Perfection secret cycle. Therefore, the tantra says: Because the form body is obscured by the body, therefore, there is no introduction to it. Therefore, the view of the lamp, this is definitely one of the unsurpassed characteristics of the heart essence vajra essence. However, the wisdom of primordial purity, and later the reality of abiding in the Great Perfection of the union of appearance and emptiness, cause and light, without combination, is the fault of not realizing it. Regarding these first two points, if we confront the words of Khyentse's deity, the former is not realizing the union of appearance and emptiness, or deity and dharmata, and the latter is only conceptual inference, not realizing it manifestly with the view, so it does not become experience. Thus, the basis to be realized and the way of realization of beings are similar. However, the source of establishing this basis is said in the Supreme Vehicle Treasury: Here it says some Great Perfection and some instructions. Therefore, since it is not clear that the words Great Perfection etc. are applied to beings, (Comment: The object of focus is the object, and awareness is self-appearance.) I understand that this is about the Dharma of the two stages of mind, and this explanation is not just my own speculation.
