The ultimate instructions on the supporting dharma. The ultimate instructions on the supporting dharma. Third, in the ultimate instructions on the subsequent supporting dharma: establishing a foundation on the three immovables, holding the measure of the three abidings, and nailing down the three attainments, three times three is nine. From the *Thalgyur*: By establishing a foundation on the three immovables, wind and mind arrive at the essential point. By holding the measure of the three abidings, one can reverse dreams, and body, speech, and mind, signs and measures are definitely held. By nailing down the three attainments, the contaminated aggregates do not appear. Thus it is said. First, there are three: the body does not move from the posture of the three kayas, the eyes do not move from the way of looking, and the mind does not move from the naturally abiding awareness. From *After Passing Away*: Eyes, body, and awareness itself, if you grasp the essential point of not moving, the manifest will arrive at the essential point. Thus it is said. The first is: the body does not move from the three postures, and by the three immovables of the body abiding upright, the channels are straightened without moving, the channels being straight, the eyes and wind are straightened without moving, the wind being straight, the mind is straight, the mind being straight, wisdom abides in its own nature and is straight, therefore one understands the meaning of the manifestation of dharmata. From the *Vast Expanse*: Its support is nine, first the three immovables are taught, the body from the posture of the three kayas, should not be separated even for a moment, thus the body itself not moving, the channels, eyes, wind, and mind do not move. Thus it is said. Second: the essential point of the eyes abiding without moving from the three ways of looking, the channels not moving, the eyes not moving, the flame not moving, the signs appear manifestly and are a stable support. From the *Vast Expanse*: Do not move from the three ways of looking, by the difference of the essential points of the channels and doors, awareness appears as a flame. If the channels do not move, the eyes do not move, the flame not moving is very important. Thus it is said. Third: the mind of these two essential points not moving, although it is easy to accomplish naturally, not only that, but awareness in the naked state of wisdom, abiding without moving from what is seen, therefore one can reach the point of the expanse appearing, and awareness merging into the apprehended, the essence of realization being manifest. Also from the *Vast Expanse*: The mind not moving, thoughts do not arise, expanse and awareness are inseparable, establishing a foundation on the three immovables, wind and mind arrive at the essential point. Thus it is said. Second, holding the measure of the three abidings.

Wala! From the Root Tantra, it says: Regarding the measurement of the three abidings, the reversal of dreams and body, speech, and mind, signs and measurements are to be ascertained. As previously stated, according to the correct meaning, there are two stages of actual signs, measurements, and confidence arising from it. Among these, the first has three: From after the past, the body and appearance, and the wind itself, abide without fabrication, naturally accomplished by Dharmata. Thus, based on the three immovables, abiding perpetually in the meaning of the union of emptiness and wisdom, the wind that moves external appearances is exhausted, and emptiness and wisdom abide without coming and going; the karma wind that agitates the aggregates is exhausted, and the body abides without moving; the horse wind that secretly moves is exhausted, and the movement of conceptual thoughts of the mind abides without moving. Like this, the measurement of the three abidings is obtained in the three appearances of inferior, intermediate, and superior. In the "Extensive" it says: Kyeho! Vajra Hero, secondly, it teaches the three abidings, the wind that moves internally and externally is exhausted, and emptiness and wisdom abide without coming and going; the wind that moves the aggregates is exhausted, and the body abides without moving; the wind that secretly moves is exhausted, and the conceptual thoughts of the mind abide without moving. Thus it is. Secondly, regarding the explanation of the three stages of signs, measurements, and confidence, in the "Clear Space" it says: After practicing like this, there are four: signs, measurements, and confidence. Therefore, signs appear on the three doors, measurements are grasped by dreams, and confidence is obtained on the view, there are these three. In "That Same" it says: Measurements arise from dreams, signs appear on body, speech, and mind. And, in the "Extensive" it says: Measurement is grasping dreams, the three of body, speech, and mind grasp signs and measurements. First, regarding signs, there are two types: signs of interruption with change, and definite signs of unchanging meaning. Among these, the first has three: the deceiving Mara's, the experience of the Dakini's view, the signs of appearance, awareness, and experience, as in the "Meaning of Dharmata Made Clear," regarding the methods of cutting off the Maras arising from view, meditation, and conduct, etc., it has been well explained. Secondly, regarding the signs of unchanging meaning, there are two types: general explanation and specific explanation. Among these, the general one is that after realizing the view, the signs of progressing on the correct path through practice are: the ten signs of not being harmed by the elements, etc., signs of the body, and in speech, because the truth is accomplished, whatever is said benefits others, and the knot of the throat chakra is loosened.
