It is the great collection of wisdom and prajna, the accumulation of hearing like the ocean, and the perfection of wisdom that ripens the fruit of much hearing. Then, those sons of gods remember and practice this Dharma gate of the six perfections day and night, and also meditate for the sake of great difficulty. Then, among that assembly of gods, there was a son of the gods of the Thirty-three Heavens named Immaculate Jewel Essence, who possessed a hundred thousand kotis of attendant gods, possessed eighty thousand goddesses, surrounded by eighty thousand goddesses, and possessed a heavenly manifested immeasurable palace with seven kinds of precious walls, pavilions built with walls, various kinds of gardens, and ponds well-decorated with heavenly flowers. The son of the gods, Immaculate Jewel Essence, together with the most excellent goddess named Lotus Blossom, possessed great joy and was attached to heavenly bliss. In the pavilion made of seven kinds of precious materials and possessing four doors, the five objects of desire were abundant and full, and he lay arrogantly, haughtily, and complacently. Then, around midnight, that son of the gods fell asleep, and all the assemblies of goddesses also became silent and fell asleep. Having heard that sound, he fainted and fell face down to the ground from his bed. Then, the groups of goddesses also disheveled their hair, their ornaments fell off, and their clothes were torn. Blood and fluids flowed from their mouths, and from drinking alcohol, their lips, palates, throats, and tongues were parched. They uttered thousands of lamentations, weeping and wailing, shrieking, "Alas, alas!" and scattering perfumed water and cold sandalwood water from the precious vessels of the gods. Some grabbed his neck, some grabbed his hands, some kissed his hair, some grabbed his feet, some grabbed his head, and some fainted and fell. Some writhed on the ground like fish out of water, and some rolled around as if their bodies were burned by fire. Some uttered many lamentations, crying and saying, "Alas, alas!" Then, the divine son Jewel Heart Immaculate awoke from his faint and regained consciousness. He vomited blood from his mouth and experienced great and intense suffering. Lord of the gods, by what means can I avoid falling under the power of death and not fall into the lower realms? Please grant me the fearless antidote. Lord of the gods, by any means, please save me and liberate me from the gate of death." The one who can defeat the lord of death and liberate from the suffering of sentient beings in hell is the Buddha, the Bhagavan, among gods and humans in the world.
