Mainly guarded, protected, and concealed by twelve thousand sons of gods. If one diligently practices the essence of the unfailing lasso here, then that one direction where the Bhagavan is will become a stupa. Those sentient beings who hear the essence of the unfailing lasso will make offerings to many Buddhas, hundreds of thousands of kotis. Bhagavan, Bodhisattva, whoever hears this essence of the unfailing lasso, I will generate roots of virtue. Some, Bhagavan, commit sinful faults, diligently practice all sinful dharmas, slander the noble ones, denigrate the sacred Dharma, indulge in the uninterrupted hell, denigrate all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as the noble Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. If they repent and henceforth cut off and uphold the vows, Bhagavan, if they temporarily fast for one day and recite this mantra, then their karmic obscurations of this life will be completely purified and completely exhausted, and will be averted. Or it be a one-day fever, or a two-day fever, or a three-day fever, or a four-day fever, therefore bloody dysentery, or fever, or hand pain, or foot pain, or headache, or being afflicted by the poison of halahala, or leprosy, or foot sores, or smallpox, or swelling, or boils, or freckles, or itching, or moles bursting, or pimples, or forgetfulness, or pervasive pain, or killing, or binding, or beating, or threatening, or speaking unpleasant words. In short, Bhagavan, physical illness, or mental suffering, or seeing bad dreams, their karmic obscurations will be completely purified and exhausted. Sentient beings who are already pure, those who have faith and are particularly devoted, will become exceedingly purified. Bhagavan, if the four retinues and the four castes deceive and flatter me in any way, they will also be venerated. Whoever hears this essence of the unfailing lasso, and upholds its meaning, or holds it, or recites it, or asks, or causes others to ask, or fully understands, or causes other sentient beings to hear, even reciting it into the ear of a being belonging to the animal realm.

Reciting these words of praise, without abandoning, formless, non-discriminating, not truly arising, not arising for long, without illusion, without defilement, with equal mind without distraction, with the yoga of being separated from the five aggregates, one should remember the Buddha. For them, the Buddhas of the ten directions Hundreds of thousands will show their faces. By reciting this mantra, sins will be confessed. Having copied as many scriptures as possible, please enshrine them in your home. What do many Bhagavats do? Is it listening in competition with each other, or out of fear of the ruler, or following others, or listening in order to belittle others, the wise should know that this is the blessing of the Holy Avalokiteshvara. That sound will enter their ears. Bhagavan, for example, if someone rubs and grinds sandalwood, or camphor, or saffron, or musk, crushes or presses it on the ground, and then applies it to himself, then the fragrance of sandalwood, or camphor, or saffron, or musk will not change because of it. And the fragrance is still itself. Bhagavan, similarly, for my unfailing noose essence, if someone slanders and insults, or like before, makes false and deceptive offerings to me, then Bhagavan, those unruly beings will plant roots of virtue. It is said that desire is difficult to control, and so it will be in the next life as well. Wherever one is born, one will never be separated from the fragrance of discipline, meditation, wisdom, and the accumulation of merit. He will become the fragrance of discipline itself. Bhagavan, whether it is a son of good family, or a daughter of good family, or a monk, or a nun, or a male lay practitioner, or a female lay practitioner, or some others, for the sake of the unfailing noose essence, especially on the eighth day of the white side, observes the fast, and seven times does not verbally recite the unfailing noose essence, then Bhagavan, It should be considered that he will obtain twenty benefits in this very life. What are these twenty? That is, that person's body will not get sick.

If the essence of the Amoghapasha is blessed seven times on water or ashes, and if one binds the fields in the directions, corners, above, and below, then all nearby harms will be pacified. Those who devour radiance cannot steal radiance. All sentient beings will rejoice. The fear caused by enemies will also quickly subside. One will not experience the fear of fire. One will not experience the fear of widespread disease or the fear of dakinis. Intense afflictions will also not arise. One will not die by fire, water, or weapons. The gods will also constantly protect, save, and conceal. Wherever one is born, one will not be separated from loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. These twenty benefits should be desired individually. Furthermore, one will also obtain eight qualities individually. What are the eight? At the time of death, the noble Avalokiteshvara will truly appear in the form of a monk. One will pass away peacefully. There will be no mistaken views. There will be no waving of hands. There will be no excretion of feces. There will be no excretion of urine. There will be no manifestation of wind. One will abide very well and be mindful. One will not pass away facing downwards. At the time of death, one will speak without afflictions. One will be born in whatever Buddha-field one has made aspirations for. One will not be separated from virtuous friends.
