祈请世尊慈悲垂听并赐予加持。世尊开示道：善男子，你因大悲心欲利益众生，欲求安乐，故欲宣说明咒，现在时机已到，速速说吧。如来我与诸佛世尊亦将随喜赞叹。菩萨观自在向世尊禀白道：世尊，我清晰忆起，于过去无量无数劫之前，彼时彼刻，世尊如来名号为光明王寂住者降生于世。彼佛世尊为慈悯我和一切众生，宣说了名为无碍大悲广大圆满之陀罗尼，并以金色之手摩顶，如是说道：善男子，你受持此大悲明咒，未来恶世的一切众生将因此获得利益与安乐。我于彼时安住于初地，仅闻此明咒一遍，便已超越八地。我于彼时彼刻，为了令心极度欢喜与满足，发愿道：若我未来能利益和安乐一切众生，那么现在我的身体便生出千手和千眼。发愿之后，立即从身上生出千手和千眼。十方大地也发生了六种震动。十方诸佛亦放射光芒触及我的身体，照亮了十方无边无际的世界。从今以后，在无量无数佛陀的眷属坛城中，我将反复听闻并亲身受持此陀罗尼，并且……

Please, Bhagavan, consider with compassion and grant your blessing. The Bhagavan said: Son of good family, because you, with great compassion, wish to benefit sentient beings and desire happiness, you wish to explain the vidyā-mantra. Now is the time, quickly speak. The Tathagata, myself, and all the Buddhas, the Bhagavans, will also rejoice and be pleased. The Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara then said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, I clearly remember that in the past, immeasurable hundreds of thousands of kalpas ago, at that time, the Bhagavan Tathagata named King of Light, Abiding in Peace, appeared in the world. That Buddha, the Bhagavan, out of compassion for me and all sentient beings, spoke this dhāraṇī called the Great, Unobstructed, Compassionate, Vastly Perfected, and with his golden-colored hand, touched the crown of my head and said: Son of good family, hold this vidyā-mantra of Great Compassion, and it will bring benefit and great happiness to all sentient beings in the evil times of the future. Moreover, by generating immeasurable joy, satisfaction, and great delight, one will be completely liberated from the subtle cycle of countless billions of kalpas. From now on, in order to constantly recite and uphold this dharani, and never abandon it, may I always be born from a lotus in the presence of all Buddhas in all my lives, and not take a body born from a womb. A bhikshu or bhikshuni, a male or female lay devotee, a boy or girl, whoever wishes to recite and uphold this dharani, should first generate a compassionate heart for all beings, and then first make the following aspiration to me: Homage to the Great Compassionate Lord Avalokiteshvara! 建立道路后，一心一意地念诵我的名字并忆念我。此外，忆念我的导师，如来无量光佛后，紧接着念诵此陀罗尼咒语，若在一日之中完整念诵七遍，则能完全清除并净化在八千百千俱胝劫中轮回的沉重罪业。世尊也如此禀告道：世尊，无论哪位天人或人类念诵并受持这大悲心陀罗尼，在临终之际，十方如来都会降临于此，伸出援手，无论希望往生到哪个佛土，都能如愿往生。世尊也如此禀告道：世尊，无论哪个众生念诵并完全受持这大悲心明咒，如果他们堕入三恶道，我将永不成证得圆满正觉。念诵并完全受持大悲心明咒的人，如果没有往生到诸佛刹土，我将永不成证得圆满正觉。念诵并完全受持大悲心明咒的人，如果没有获得无量无边的三摩地和辩才，我将永不成证得圆满正觉。念诵并完全受持大悲心明咒的人，如果今生所有的愿望都不能如愿实现，那就不应称之为大悲心陀罗尼，除非是不行善事和不专心致志的情况。如果哪位女子对女身感到厌倦，希望获得男身，那么她念诵并受持这大悲心陀罗尼的语句，如果她不能完全脱离女身，获得男身，我将永不成证得圆满正觉。如果产生丝毫的怀疑，就无法获得所期望的果报。

Having established the path, I will single-mindedly utter my name and remember me. Furthermore, having remembered my teacher, the Tathagata Amitabha, if one then recites this dharani mantra, completing seven recitations in one day, then the heavy sins that would cause one to wander in samsara for eight thousand hundred thousand kotis of kalpas will be completely cleared away and purified. The Bhagavan also spoke thus: Bhagavan, if any deva or human recites and upholds this Great Compassion Dharani, at the time of death, the Tathagatas of the ten directions will descend there and extend their hands, and they will be reborn in whichever Buddha-field they desire, just as they wish. The Bhagavan also spoke thus: Bhagavan, if any sentient being recites and completely upholds this Great Compassion Wisdom Mantra, if they should fall into the three lower realms, may I never attain perfect and complete enlightenment. Those who recite and completely uphold the Great Compassion Wisdom Mantra, if they do not get reborn in the Buddha-fields, may I never attain perfect and complete enlightenment. Those who recite and completely uphold the Great Compassion Wisdom Mantra, if they do not obtain immeasurable samadhi and eloquence, may I never attain perfect and complete enlightenment. Those who recite and completely uphold the Great Compassion Wisdom Mantra, if all their wishes in this very life are not fulfilled as they desire, then it should not be called the Great Compassion Mind Dharani, except in cases of non-virtue and lack of single-mindedness. If any woman is completely weary of the female body and wishes to obtain a male body, then by reciting and upholding these words of the Great Compassion Mind Dharani, if she does not completely transform from the female form and obtain a male body, may I never attain perfect and complete enlightenment. If even a slight doubt arises, one will not obtain the desired result.
