The Blessed One was thus addressed: "Blessed One, I have seen it. Blessed One, I perceive this exceedingly great light emanating completely from the eastern direction. Blessed One, what is this kind of light?" Then, the Bodhisattva Immaculate Intellect again addressed the Blessed One thus: "Blessed One, who has produced this great light? Please explain." After thus addressing him, the Blessed One, with a slight smile, spoke thus to the Bodhisattva Immaculate Intellect: "Immaculate Intellect, this is the appearance of the Bodhisattva Vajrapani, joyful and content, completely surrounded by his own assembly of vidyas, and also surrounded by thousands of asuras, rakshasas, flesh-eaters, and bhutas, arrayed in front, wishing to come to this mandala of the retinue." Then, at that time, the Bodhisattva, the great being Vajrapani, went directly to that mandala where the retinue was assembled. Having gone there, he touched the feet of the Blessed One with his head, circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and sat down on one side. Then, the Blessed One, knowing that Vajrapani was seated on one side, and knowing this, asked with joy and delight: "Vajrapani, if you wish to speak a little in my presence, then the Bodhisattva, the great being, striving for the benefit of all sentient beings, will undoubtedly realize it." The deva Other-Taking, by name, summoned me with an intimate tone. Surrounded completely by a great retinue of asuras, I went to my own abode. O Blessed One, in that place, I saw houses I had never seen before, doors, stables, upper stories, outer courtyards, lakes, ponds, wells, gates, and doorways. O Blessed One, I had never before perceived any such distinction of samadhi. In that form, I remained absorbed in the supreme meditation of yogis. There, the asura lord Other-Taking said to me, 'O Blessed One, why do you, a great bodhisattva who possesses immeasurable and inconceivable miraculous powers, strength, and displays, whose body pervades the sky, and who is victorious over the three realms, remain absorbed in meditation? O Blessed One, there is not even the slightest unpleasantness in my abode. Please tell me, for what purpose do you remain absorbed in meditation?' Then, that asura lord spoke of all illusions, mechanisms, door bolts, and so forth. O Blessed One, I spoke of the one who subdues them, the great Vajra Wrathful One who holds the great appearance, called Vajra Beneath the Earth, who is the supreme lord of all mechanisms, who destroys all one hundred and eight mechanisms, pacifies them, causes them to fall, and certainly destroys them. O Blessed One, may you know this. I, with a joyful expression, spoke, and for the benefit of many beings, and for their happiness, O Blessed One, in the future age, at the end of the five hundred period of the end times, for the sake of pacifying beings without refuge, and for the sake of perfecting the perfection of generosity, I will speak of Vajra Beneath, who destroys all one hundred and eight mechanisms, who is the supreme lord of all mechanisms.'
