In that assembly, there was a bodhisattva mahasattva named Manjushri, who, being seated, arose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and bowed his head to the feet of the Bhagavan, and spoke thus to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, in the land of Magadha, a king named Powerful Light, possessing retinue, consorts, and abundant enjoyments, has contracted leprosy, eye disease, difficulty in breathing, and burning heart disease.
