The Great King of Imagination, Victorious over the Three Realms. The Great King of Imagination, Victorious over the Three Realms. In Sanskrit: Trailokyavijayamahākalparāja. In Tibetan: The Great King of Imagination, Victorious over the Three Realms. Homage to glorious Vajrasattva! Thus have I heard. Once, the Blessed One was dwelling on the summit of Mount Sumeru, in a palace built of stacked vajras and precious jewels, together with many hundreds of thousands of bodhisattvas, as well as gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, kinnaras, bhutas, rakshasas, forgetters, matrikas, and many visible and invisible beings who had great faith in the Buddha's teachings. Then, the Blessed One, the great bodhisattva Vajrapani, descended from the midst of the sky and bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One. He circumambulated the Blessed One three times and said: O Blessed One, I wish to bestow the holding of vows upon those untamed beings, such as the great gods. O Blessed One, please grant me your command for this purpose. Then, the words of the great bodhisattva Vajrapani. The Blessed One, the great King of Dharma, the Tathagata, heard this and said to Vajrapani: Yaksha, you are exceedingly arrogant, exceedingly wrathful, exceedingly coarse. How can you speak such mantra words for the benefit of sentient beings? Then, the bodhisattva mahasattva Vajrapani said to the Blessed One: Therefore, O Blessed One, I will subdue the untamed sentient beings. Why? Because after subduing those who desire happiness, such as making them free, I will place them in unsurpassed bliss.
