The Glorious Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra The Glorious Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra In Sanskrit: Śrī Vajrahṛdayālaṃkāratantra nāma. In Tibetan: The Glorious Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra. Homage to Glorious Vajrasattva! Thus have I heard: At one time, the Bhagavan, the essence of all the body, speech, and mind of the Tathagatas, was present in the form of five parts among ten women. The retinue, which is unspeakable, and again unspeakable, and again unspeakable, dwelling in the union of vajra and lotus, is as follows: the Vajra Dakini called "fully practicing the samaya," the Vajra Dakini called "fully accomplishing the wisdom body," the Vajra Dakini called "the arising of vajra speech like a sound echo," the Vajra Dakini called "making others know," the Vajra Dakini called "intimately associating with one-pointedness," the Vajra Dakini called "superior to others," the Vajra Dakini called "being the support," the Vajra Dakini called "moistening," the Vajra Dakini called "ripening," the Vajra Dakini called "moving," the Vajra Dakini called "opening understanding," the Vajra Dakini called "adorned with hāra-nūpura and so forth," the Vajra Dakini called "songstress with gīta throat and so forth," the Vajra Dakini called "fragrant one with serpent heart and so forth," the Vajra Dakini called "tasty one eating various vegetables," the Vajra Dakini called "skillful woman embracing with various plays," the Vajra Dakini called "non-existent one understanding the three," and so forth, all the Vajra Dakinis equal to the dust of Mount Meru, and the great Vajra Dakinis equal to the expanse of space, such as: the great Vajra Dakini called "the dissolving of the nature of form," the great Vajra Dakini called "the pacifying of the nature of feeling," the great Vajra Dakini called "the disappearance of the nature of perception."

I. The great Vajra Dakini named "Discernment of the Nature of Formation" (འདུ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་མཚན་ཉིད་ལ་རྟོག་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanized:, Literal meaning: Discrimination of the Nature of Formation), and the great Vajra Dakini named "Compilation of the Nature of Consciousness" (རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པའི་མཚན་ཉིད་བསྡུས་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanized:, Literal meaning: Compilation of the Nature of Consciousness), and all those who are equal to the expanse of space, make this Buddha-field appear as full as a sesame pod. Then, all those Vajra Dakinis gathered together and offered clouds of offerings that arose from the mind, surpassing the offerings of gods and humans, to the great Dakini Vajradhara, and prostrated, saying: Of all the Tathagatas, The supreme practice that gathers the three secrets, The tantra of the ornament of the Vajra essence, Please speak, supreme guide. Then, the great Vajra heard the words of the request, looked at all the Dakinis, and remained silent without saying anything. Then, all those Vajra Dakinis of the Bodhisattvas also prayed thus: Bhagavan, do not be displeased with us that you do not wish to explain to the retinue of the Vajra Dakini, who is especially superior in the qualities of the power of all the Tathagatas. Then, the lord of the Tathagatas, the great Vajradhara, looked at the mandala of the retinue and spoke the verses: It is good that the great being has asked, Even the Buddhas of the lower realms, If their minds are confused by this text, What need is there to mention other beings? This pure nature of the Buddha, Because children do not understand it, To explain it after blessing it, Is the nature of the teachers. Then, all those Vajra Dakinis were very happy and again offered with a multitude of offerings, prostrated, and prayed thus: Bhagavan, well done, well done! Lord of all the Tathagatas, please bless us. Show the unique secret of all the Tathagatas, and please bless us with all forms of power. Then, the Lord of all the Tathagatas, knowing the request of those Vajra Dakinis, is called the Vajra that blesses all beings.
