This is not a flying red bird, but a light-snatching demon is coming, and it will devour us today. Then, the golden king wiped his face with both hands and said to the great ministers: O chiefs of the town, this is not a flying red bird, nor is it a light-snatching demon. This is a hermit, coming out of compassion for us. Then, the Bhagavan Pratyekabuddha descended upon the palace of the golden king. Then, the golden king rose to greet the Bhagavan Pratyekabuddha, bowed his head to the feet of the Bhagavan Pratyekabuddha, and invited him to sit on the prepared seat. Then, the golden king said to the Bhagavan Pratyekabuddha: Hermit, why have you come here? The hermit said: Great king, for food. Then, the golden king wept bitterly and shed tears, saying: Alas! I am so poor that even having become the noble ruler of Jambudvipa, I am unable to offer alms to a single hermit. Then, the god residing in the golden king's golden palace spoke to the golden king in verse: What is suffering? It is poverty. What is the most suffering? It is poverty itself. The poor are like the dead inside, I would rather die than endure poverty. Then, the golden king summoned the treasurer and said: O chief of the town, if there is a little food in the house, offer it to this hermit. He said: You are a god, knowing everything, all the food of Jambudvipa has been used up. Otherwise, there is only a small handful of leftovers from your meal, O god. Then, the golden king thought: If I eat it, I will live, but if I don't eat it, I will die. He also thought: Even if I eat it, I will surely die, what is the use of living? Such a hermit who is virtuous and possesses good qualities. Then, the golden king summoned the astrologer, the great ministers, the gatekeeper, and the attendants.

In short, he spoke thus: "Oh, chiefs of the villages, this is the last time for the golden almsgiving, afterwards please rejoice! May this root of virtue completely cut off the poverty of all the people of Jambudvipa. " Then, King Golden Hue poured all the small portions of food that he had into the bowl of the Blessed One, the Solitary Buddha, and gave the bowl to the right hand of the Blessed One, the Solitary Buddha. Whatever the Solitary Buddha teaches the Dharma with his body is the Dharma itself, not words. Then, the Blessed One, the Solitary Buddha, accepted the alms of King Golden Hue, and thus ascended into the sky by means of miraculous power. Then, King Golden Hue folded his palms and gazed into the distance until his sight disappeared, without blinking his eyes. Then, King Golden Hue summoned the astrologers, the dignitaries, the ministers, the gatekeepers, and the attendants, and spoke thus: "Oh, chiefs of the villages, stand in your respective positions as before. Do not let anyone in this palace die of hunger and thirst." They said: "When we have obtained the glory and fortune of the gods, we will be playing, rejoicing, and enjoying ourselves as attendants of the gods. How can we bear to completely give up the future life and future time of the gods?" Then, King Golden Hue wept bitterly and shed tears. After wiping away the tears, he said to the astrologers, the dignitaries, the ministers, the gatekeepers, and the attendants: "Oh, chiefs of the villages, stand in your respective positions as before. Let everyone not die of hunger and thirst in this palace." Then, the astrologers, the dignitaries, the ministers, the gatekeepers, and the attendants wept bitterly and shed tears. Then, the Blessed One, the solitary Buddha, completely consumed that alms food. Then, in that very instant, four thick clouds arose from all four directions. A cold wind also arose, and at that time the entire Jambudvipa was swept clean. Then, due to the particular circumstances of that time, rain of various kinds of food and drink fell. Such food as rice, flour, warm porridge, meat, and fish meat. Such food as radishes for pickling, leaves for eating, flowers for eating, fruits for eating, sesame seeds for eating, sesame oil for eating, brown sugar and butter for eating, sugar for eating, and various other kinds of food, drink, and delicacies rained down. Then, King Golden Hue was delighted and pleased, exceedingly joyful, and filled with joy and comfort. He summoned the astrologers, high-ranking ministers, courtiers, gatekeepers, and attendants, and said: "O chiefs of the city, look! Today, just by offering a single alms, such a sprout has arisen, and fruits, leaves, and flowers will appear later." Then, starting on the second day, for seven days, rain of wealth and grain fell abundantly. Such as sesame seeds, rice, mung beans, white beans, barley, wheat, lentils, rice, and all kinds of grains, and for seven days rain of ghee fell. For seven days rain of sesame oil fell. For seven days rain of fine cotton cloth fell. For seven days rain of various kinds of food fell. For seven days rain of the seven precious things fell, namely gold, silver, crystal, lapis lazuli, red pearls, the essence of gems, and coral. Rain of these seven precious things fell. By the power of King Golden Hue, the poverty of all the people of the entire Jambudvipa was completely eradicated. Monks, at that time, at that moment, you should not doubt or hesitate, thinking that the king was someone else. Monks, at that time, at that moment, you should regard that one who was called King Golden Hue as none other than myself.
