龙王鼓声之偈。 龙王鼓声之偈。 印度语：那伽罗惹 贝日嘎塔。 藏语：龙王鼓声之偈。向所有佛和菩萨顶礼。 如来善示教，菩萨降生之传记，一切善聚之后，以极清净之心谛听。 圆满正等觉，天中之天，如来安住时，众比丘互相以口舌之争等傲慢。 比丘口出恶语时，大仙人听闻后，因此，能仁聚集僧众，如此宣说： “你们以口舌之争等，互相恼害，从家到无家之出家，与此不符。 应行持恒常真实欢喜之六法，此与从家到无家之出家者相符。 为了众生之慈悲，我修持无害，如何求菩提，比丘们，从我这里听闻。 具慧之人听闻此，彻底断除罪恶，为了成就和获得安乐，应行持善法。 往昔 成为兄弟眷属的，出现两位龙王，一个名叫鼓，第二个名叫近鼓。 二者皆断绝杀生，具足戒律，名声远扬，舍弃龙之生处，渴望人之地位。 见到具戒多闻之，沙门婆罗门，化作人之形象，也行供养。 半月之八日，十四、十五日，于此八支斋戒，善加守护。 二者舍弃先前之住处，前往其他地方，于此相近之处，名曰鼓声之龙居住。 龙族殊胜之二兄弟，知晓二者将至，以傲慢愤怒之心，呼出烟雾， “汝等非是行法者，乃是狡诈伪装恶行者”，鼓声如是语。

The Verses of the Dragon King Drum Sound. The Verses of the Dragon King Drum Sound. In Sanskrit: Nāgarājabherīgāthā. In Tibetan: The Verses of the Dragon King Drum Sound. I prostrate to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The Tathagata has well taught, the stories of the Bodhisattvas' births, after gathering all well, listen with an extremely pure mind. The perfect Buddha, the god of gods, when the Tathagata was dwelling, the monks were arrogant to each other with verbal abuse and so on. When the monks uttered evil words, the great sage heard, therefore, the Able One gathered the Sangha and spoke thus: "You, with verbal abuse and so on, harm each other, renunciation from home to homelessness, this is not in accordance. One should engage in the six dharmas that always bring true joy, this is in accordance with those who have renounced from home to homelessness. For the sake of compassion for all sentient beings, I have meditated without harm, how to seek enlightenment, monks, listen to this from me. Wise people, having heard this, completely abandon sins, in order to achieve and obtain happiness, one should practice virtuous Dharma. In the past, two dragon kings appeared who became brothers and relatives, one was named Drum, the second was named Near Drum. Both abstained from killing, possessed morality, and were known for their great power, they despised the dragon's birthplace and desired the state of humans. Seeing the virtuous and learned, Shramanas and Brahmins, they transformed into human form and also made offerings. On the eighth day of the half-month, and the fourteenth and fifteenth days, they carefully observed the eight-limbed fast. The two abandoned their previous abode and went to another place, and in that place near there, lived a dragon named Drum Sound. The two excellent brothers of the dragon race, knowing that the two would come, with an arrogant and angry mind, exhaling smoky breaths, "You are not practitioners of Dharma, but deceitful pretenders of evil conduct," Drum Sound spoke thus.

以粗暴的语言，一次又一次地驱赶（我们）。听到卑贱者驱赶（我们）后，近侍怒火中烧。当时，向兄长耳语，用言语晓之以理：唉，耳语，在这人世间，恶语相向令人痛苦，水边生长的青蛙，用恶毒的牙齿驱赶我们。这（青蛙）在水中伤害动物，在陆地上也伤害人类。主啊，即使您能容忍我，我也无法容忍恶语。今天，我要摧毁这里的城镇、宫殿和婚姻，彻底消除耳语的声音，然后我们离开这里。龙王威力强大，他听到弟弟的话后，心中接受，说了这首诗：谁在家里住了几天，得到了美味的食物和饮料，不应该在心中想去伤害他，感恩图报受到圣人的赞扬。哪棵树的阴影，即使只遮蔽片刻，也不应该砍掉它的叶子，更何况是树枝和树干呢？砍伐或修剪森林的树木，它们还会再次生长，对此毫无疑问。就像砍断湿手不会再生一样，与朋友作对，不会长久获得安乐。长期供养恶人，用许多美味的食物施加恩惠，他一定会抛弃朋友，就像大象摧毁高希的凉亭一样。就像水边的树木倒塌一样，谁的心思摇摆不定，他的友谊不会稳固，就像用树皮的颜色染白布一样。如果智者想让敌人不高兴，就装作心中没有恶意，这样就能伤害到他。海洋和须弥山，以及大地，都不是我的负担，忘恩负义的人，才是我的重担。谁的心不粗暴，知恩图报，不浪费恩情，这些人受到智者的赞扬。佛法带来安乐，慈爱带来安乐，就像流入安乐的河流。不与朋友作对，没有傲慢自大。

With harsh words, it drives (us) away again and again. Hearing that the lowly one was driving (us) away, the attendant became extremely angry. At that time, to the elder brother, whispered, explained with words: Alas, whisper, in this human world, harsh words cause suffering, the frog growing by the water, drives us away with venomous teeth. This (frog) harms animals in the water, and also harms humans on land. Lord, even if you can tolerate me, I cannot tolerate harsh words. Today, I will destroy this city, palace, and marriage, completely eliminate the sound of whispering, and then we will leave here. The dragon king is mighty, after he heard the words of his younger brother, he accepted it in his heart, and spoke this verse: Whoever stays in a house for a few days, and receives good food and drink, should not think of harming him in his heart, gratitude is praised by the saints. The shade of whichever tree, even if it covers for a moment, one should not cut its leaves, let alone the branches and trunk? Cutting down or pruning the trees of the forest, they will grow again, there is no doubt about it. Just as cutting off a wet hand will not grow again, opposing a friend will not obtain lasting happiness. Serving an evil person for a long time, and bestowing favors with many delicious foods, he will surely abandon his friend, like an elephant destroying the pavilion of Koshi. Just as the trees by the water collapse, whoever's mind is wavering and changing, his friendship will not be stable, like dyeing white cloth with the color of tree bark. If a wise person wants to make an enemy unhappy, pretend that there is no malice in the heart, and in that way, he will harm him. The ocean and Mount Meru, and the earth, are not my burden, whoever is ungrateful, that is my great burden. Whoever's mind is not rough, knows gratitude and repays favors, and does not waste favors, those people are praised by the wise. Dharma brings happiness, loving-kindness brings happiness, like a river flowing into happiness. Not opposing friends, without arrogance and pride.
