One should bind the directions with water. One should protect oneself with a thread. For the demons of children, one should tie a blue thread. One should recite seven times into the ear that has been struck by a weapon. For others, one should also adapt according to one's own intelligence. Then, all the Tathagatas reside in the sky above the protector, and for the benefit of all sentient beings, to completely pacify all diseases, and to avert all spirits, they spoke these roots of mantras. For fighting, quarreling, debating, and competing, one should tie a white thread. For eye diseases, one should make a thread from a milky tree and tie it to the ear.
