It has been sown. Then, the Tathagata Mandara Fragrance, out of compassion for us, resided in his own abode, and prophesied the miraculous manifestations of the Buddha-land, and in this way taught the fourth chapter, the Dharani mantra of dwelling on the ultimate limit of mindfulness. By the power of the Buddha, in that prison, we heard in our ears sounds with meaning and with words. By remembering those secret mantras, we generated joy and true faith, and at that time, all that we experienced in the visible dharma, and what we experienced after birth, and all that we experienced at other times, and all the karmic obscurations, and the obscurations of afflictions, and the obscurations of dharma, and the obscurations of sentient beings, and from what is called the obscuration of generosity to what is called the obscuration of wisdom, and the obscurations of near conduct and enjoyment, and the obscuration of the cessation of life's activities, and the obscuration of being born intentionally, and the obscuration of going to the pure Buddha-fields were completely eliminated. There, we, merely by hearing the Dharani mantra of dwelling on the ultimate limit of mindfulness, were freed from the five bonds that bind the throat, and obtained the realm of miraculous powers from the prison. Then, ascending into the sky, we approached the Blessed One, the Tathagata Mandara Fragrance. Then, after death, we were born in the Buddha-field called Mountain Light. Having gone forth in the presence of the Blessed One, the Tathagata Cloud Color, from then on, for countless eons, we will not be born in empty Buddha-fields, until there. Similarly, now in all the Saha worlds, from here to the Akanistha heaven, everything is pervaded by countless sentient beings, humans and non-humans. Those are all seized by various obscurations such as karmic obscurations, obscurations of afflictions, obscurations of dharma, and obscurations of sentient beings, until those whose karma is not completely purified are unable to reach the pure Buddha-fields.

Merely hearing the Dharani mantra of karma, sentient beings will experience it in this very life, and will experience it in other times. All karmic obscurations, as well as afflictive obscurations, obscurations of dharma, obscurations of sentient beings, from the obscuration of giving to the obscuration of wisdom, as well as proximate conduct and obscurations of enjoyment, all the obscurations of the path of the ten virtuous actions, as well as the obscurations that arise immediately upon hearing, and all the obscurations that go to the pure Buddha-fields, will be completely eliminated. By teaching the Dharma, sentient beings will obtain patience and various samadhis. As long as life exists, they will be able to die there, and sentient beings will be able to take birth in samsara as they wish, and will be able to remember past lives. They will constantly and continuously exert effort, correctly practice the path of the ten virtuous actions, and become those of the nature of dharma who do not fall into wrongdoing. They will exert themselves in the six perfections, exert themselves in the four means of gathering, listen to the Dharma, attend to the Sangha, delight in meditation, and exert themselves in supernormal knowledges and cultivating the divine abodes. In all migrations, until unsurpassed nirvana, they will not be separated from these dharmas. O Bhagavan, for the sake of compassion for all sentient beings, please well explain the Dharani mantra of the Venerable Bhagavan, the fourth, who abides at the ultimate limit, and is mindful. The Bhagavan said: Well done, well done, son of good family, you have entered for the benefit of many beings. From "Well done, well done" to "The Bhagavan said." Whether it be a bhikshu, a bhikshuni, a son of good family, or a daughter of good family, any faithful sentient being who wishes to cross the ocean of samsara by any of the three vehicles, wishes to quickly perfect that vehicle, wishes to destroy all suffering, and wishes to completely retain all that is heard.
