All beings have become deluded, and look to him who destroys the path to immortality, the one with endless deceit!" At that time, the demon's daughter, named Munbralma (Darkness-Dispeller), said: "Any sentient being who merely hears of him takes refuge in the shramana. What need is there to mention those who hear his words and see him? You have observed for a long time with various efforts, and have engaged in various discussions together. Have you not learned his magic?" The demon said again: "The shramana Gautama is steadfast, a great sage by nature, and has truly entered the Dharma of emptiness. Having crossed over, he liberates beings." Munbralma said: "Whoever has entered into emptiness cannot be moved by billions of demons. He bestows liberation and bliss; I take refuge in him. He who possesses the signless sign, whoever relies on Suchness, and has gone beyond the perfection of wisdom, I take refuge in him. I shall learn that magic, and completely liberate all sentient beings. May I attain the unsurpassed Buddhahood that masters all dharmas!" About five hundred demon daughters, seated in the demon's abode, made aspirations for enlightenment. The evil demon, greatly agitated and terrified, became deluded and entered the place of walking with the power of his strength, and blessed it with such a blessing of the power of the demon. Not long after leaving the sage who delights in the stars, at the abode of the sage Shakyamuni, from the demon's abode, he began to send down from the sky a rain of stones and a rain of blazing fire. 魔之女們，汝等觀看！於贍部洲，凡皈依沙門瞿曇者，皆受此眾多痛苦所惱。何況汝等在此安住，皈依沙門瞿曇，汝等自身之女？魔女如是語：凡有情皈依佛，眾魔百千不能害，縱然戒律毀損，心識迷亂，彼亦必渡生死彼岸。向導師散一花，發菩提堅固願，眾魔不能害此人，無疑世間成正覺。彼若受持一學處，聽聞一句之義理，為求菩提發心者，轉變有情無猶豫。父王見此龍眾已，佛陀於彼降種種花雨，佛陀以一剎那，迴向於汝等，然於彼時，汝等亦無能為力。何者令彼有情罪業盡，我等之業障得清淨，為此而作授記，於彼聽聞之一智，亦為導師所宣說。其後，惡魔極度惱怒，責罵，生起痛苦與不悅，獨自居於憂愁之室。爾時，菩提薩埵摩訶薩埵喜星，於世尊之梵住，無緣之語末，於世尊所住之處，前往而住。世尊名為伽拉瓦，乃至菩提薩埵摩訶薩埵喜星向世尊如是請示之間。尊者世尊，祈請宣說第四勝義邊際住心之陀羅尼咒。以彼陀羅尼咒之基，昔我等二人為婆羅門童子時，為身軀之故，冒犯國王之國神，瀕臨死亡，被送入監獄。半月斷食，五縛所縛，一心祈請如來曼陀羅之香。

Daughters of Mara, behold! In the Jambudvipa, all who take refuge in the ascetic Gautama are afflicted by these many sufferings. What need to mention your own daughters who dwell here and take refuge in the ascetic Gautama? The daughter of Mara spoke thus: Whoever among sentient beings goes for refuge to the Buddha, a hundred thousand demons cannot harm them. Even if their discipline is ruined and their minds are confused, they will surely cross to the other shore of birth and death. By scattering a single flower to the guide and generating a firm aspiration for enlightenment, many demons cannot harm that person. Without doubt, they will become enlightened in the world. If they take one precept, listen to even a single word of its meaning, and generate the mind for enlightenment, they will transform sentient beings without hesitation. When the Father saw this assembly of nagas, the Buddha rained down various showers of flowers upon them. The Buddha dedicated a single instant to you, but at that time, you were powerless. Whosoever exhausts the sins of those sentient beings and clears away the karmic obscurations of us, the Teacher spoke of even a single wisdom heard there, for which a prophecy was made. Then, the evil demon became extremely angry, scolded, and, feeling pain and displeasure, dwelt alone in a chamber of sorrow. At that time, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Pleased by Stars went to where the Blessed One was dwelling, at the end of the immeasurable words of the Brahma-abode of the Blessed One, and sat down. From the Blessed One named Galava, until the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Pleased by Stars requested the Blessed One thus. Venerable Blessed One, please explain the Dharani mantra for dwelling on the fourth supreme ultimate state of mind. With those bases of the Dharani mantra, in the past, when we two were Brahmin boys, for the sake of our bodies, we offended the king's national deity, and were on the verge of death, and were sent to prison. For half a month, we were without food and bound by five bonds, and we prayed to the Tathagata, focusing our minds on the fragrance of the Mandara without thinking of anything else.
