The Noble Mahayana Sutra "The Continuous Cutting of the Obscurations of Karma" The Noble Mahayana Sutra "The Continuous Cutting of the Obscurations of Karma" In Indian language: Arya Karma Avarana Pratiprasravitini Nama Mahayana Sutra. In Tibetan: The Noble Mahayana Sutra "The Continuous Cutting of the Obscurations of Karma". Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, in the Garden of Anathapindika, together with a great Sangha of monks, twelve hundred and fifty monks, and together with seventy thousand Bodhisattvas. Then, by the power of the Buddha, the venerable Shariputra rose from his seat, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with his palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One, and said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, whether it be a son of good family or a daughter of good family who has entered the Hearer Vehicle, or who has entered the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, or who has entered the Great Vehicle, or any other sentient beings, how should they separately confess their karmic obscurations in order to awaken to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment?" Having asked this, the Blessed One said to the venerable Shariputra: "Shariputra, here, whether it be a son of good family or a daughter of good family who has entered the Hearer Vehicle, or who has entered the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, or who has entered the Great Vehicle, or any other sentient beings, wishing to awaken to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, they should three times during the day and three times during the night arrange their upper robe over one shoulder, kneel on their right knee, and, with their palms joined, bow and recite these words: For the benefit of many beings, for the happiness of many beings, with compassion for the world, for the great benefit of beings, for the benefit of gods and humans, for the sake of benefit and happiness, the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, who are now in the ten directions of the world,
