Furthermore, even if one possesses the power of memory and retention like the venerable Ānanda, the memory and retention power of beings like Ānanda is not even close to one percent of the memory and retention power of the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom, and cannot even bear comparison. The Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom, Holder of Light, retains all that is spoken by all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the ten directions. When one Tathāgata teaches the Dharma, it does not obstruct the teaching of the Dharma by two Tathāgatas, nor does it engage in any interfering actions. Holder of Light, for example, just as in a great ocean, a continuous stream of rain the size of a chariot axle flows in, one stream of water does not obstruct the second stream of water, nor does it engage in any interfering actions, as all the streams of water are taken in by the great ocean, and there is neither decrease nor increase in it. Holder of Light, similarly, although the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom retains all the Dharma taught by all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, when one Tathāgata teaches the Dharma, it does not obstruct the teaching of the Dharma by two Tathāgatas, nor does it engage in any interfering actions, and there is neither decrease nor increase in the growth of his power of memory. When this teaching was expounded, eight thousand beings generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and they said, "May we also become like the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom in increasing the power of memory." The entire retinue, endowed with all, scattered divine and human flowers upon the Bhagavat and the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom.

This great thousandfold world system, better than filling it with gold and offering it to the Sugatas, is hearing this treasury of Dharma, the merit of devotion is especially superior. If one fills a trillion world systems with precious jewels and offers them to the Tathagatas, better than that is someone who engages with this Sutra, the merit of the former cannot produce that merit. If one fills ten thousand world systems with precious jewels and gives them away in charity, better than that is someone who recites and teaches this Sutra, the former is not a fraction of that merit. Fields of billions and trillions, filled with precious jewels, protect the teachers of the world, better than offering them to the Buddhas is someone who diligently applies themselves to this teaching. Worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the ten directions, filled with precious jewels and offered to the Victorious Ones, better than that is someone who abides as taught, there is no equal to that merit. Perfect Bodhicitta, upholding the Dharma, practicing the Dharma, and compassion for sentient beings, these four Dharmas have limitless merit, the Sugatas cannot speak of their limit. The realm of space, likewise the realm of sentient beings, the wisdom of the Buddhas, and Bodhicitta, these four Dharmas are immeasurable, the wise should not doubt upon hearing them. When this precious Dharma is excellently taught, the billion fields of the ten directions shake, light appears and a rain of flowers falls, without being played, the sound of a hundred instruments arises. All those wise Bodhisattvas, delighted, repeatedly express their praise. We who have heard such a Dharma teaching, our lives have become meaningful, we have obtained an excellent gain. Whoever has heard such a thing, those sentient beings have obtained an excellent gain. Those who do not forget Bodhicitta, they are greatly held by the Tathagatas. The billion thousands of Buddhas of the ten directions, extending their right hands, placing them on the crown of the ocean of qualities, say, "Well done," to the encouragement of Shakya Simha. 如是之品执持者，菩萨勇士愿长存。善说之法永不灭，何人执持此法理，我等当为彼敬奉。我等一切怀敬意，恒常守护乐于宣。尔后世尊告菩萨慧海言：慧海，此法之理，法之印，法之集，法之善分别，乃过去、未来、现在诸佛世尊所说，宣说，将宣说。慧海，汝当对此怀敬意，具谦逊，以实修为心要。世尊如是宣说后，菩萨摩诃萨慧海，及具足一切之菩萨众，比丘僧团，天、人、阿修罗、乾闼婆等世间皆大欢喜，对世尊所说深表赞叹。加持品第十二竟。大集品类法品中，圣慧海请问品第五圆满。印度堪布吉那弥扎，达那希拉，布达扎巴，及校勘之译师班德耶谢德等翻译校订，并以新语裁定而定稿。 第十二，加持品。

Those who uphold such a chapter, May the brave Bodhisattvas live long. May the well-spoken Dharma never perish, Whoever upholds this Dharma principle, We shall pay homage to them. We all, with reverence, Shall always protect and be eager to proclaim. Then, the Bhagavan spoke to the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom: "Ocean of Wisdom, this Dharma principle, the seal of Dharma, the collection of Dharma, the excellent distinctions of Dharma, have been spoken by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the past, future, and present. They will speak and will be spoken. Ocean of Wisdom, you should hold this with reverence, with humility, and make practice the essence." After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ocean of Wisdom, and all those assemblies of Bodhisattvas endowed with everything, the Sangha of monks, and the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, rejoiced and greatly praised what the Bhagavan had spoken. The twelfth chapter, the Chapter of Blessings, is complete. From the Dharma category of the Great Collection Chapter, the fifth chapter, called "The Chapter of Questions by the Noble Ocean of Wisdom," is complete.
