Sixth, the chapter on teaching the Dharma of the Buddha. Sixth, the chapter on teaching the Dharma of the Buddha. Then, the Great Brahma, the Great Compassionate One, said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, Ocean of Wisdom: Son of good family, the Dharmas of the Buddha, the Dharmas of the Buddha, what is the term for those called the Dharmas of the Buddha? Having said this, the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom said to Brahma, the Great Compassionate One: Brahma, the Dharmas of the Buddha, the Dharmas of the Buddha, that which is called the Dharmas of the Buddha is the term for all dharmas. Why is that? Brahma, the Tathagata does not manifestly and completely awaken to enlightenment in a manner that is completely cut off and has measure; rather, the Tathagata manifestly and completely awakens to enlightenment in a manner that is not completely cut off, in the manner of the equality of all dharmas, and without measure. Brahma, understanding all dharmas as equality is enlightenment; Brahma, therefore, all dharmas are called the Dharmas of the Buddha. Brahma, how are all dharmas, so too are all the Dharmas of the Buddha. Whatever is the nature of all dharmas, that is the nature of the Dharmas of the Buddha. All dharmas are to be understood as the emptiness of the Dharmas of the Buddha because of their solitude. All dharmas are to be understood as the emptiness of the Dharmas of the Buddha because of their emptiness. Brahma, all dharmas are interdependent origination, and understanding interdependent origination is enlightenment. Just as the Tathagata sees all dharmas, so too are those Dharmas of the Buddha. Brahma, the Great Compassionate One said: Son of good family, are the Dharmas of the Buddha not far beyond the three realms? Ocean of Wisdom said: Brahma, the nature of the three realms is signlessness, which is the Dharmas of the Buddha. Why is that? Brahma, in the equality of the Dharmas of the Buddha, there is neither inferior nor superior. Brahma, for example, in the sky there is neither inferior nor superior. Brahma, likewise, the Buddha

These dharmas of the earth are equal to the sky. They have neither end nor excellence. O Brahma, the nature of all dharmas is emptiness, and it has neither end nor excellence. O Brahma, a son or daughter of good family who wishes to understand the Buddha's Dharma should understand the Buddha's Dharmas in this way, without conceptualization. O Brahma, furthermore, the Buddha's Dharmas do not abide in a place, do not abide in a direction, are unborn, unceasing, are not blue, not yellow, not red, not white, not like the color of crystal and silver. They are without color, without form, without characteristics. They are without signs. O Brahma, the meaning of signlessness is the meaning of the Buddha's Dharma. The meaning of the Buddha's Dharma is the meaning of the unchanging word. The meaning of the unchanging word is the meaning of peace. The meaning of peace is the meaning of solitude. The meaning of solitude is the meaning of emptiness. The meaning of emptiness is the meaning of non-abiding. The meaning of non-abiding is the meaning of thusness. The meaning of thusness is the meaning of utter non-arising. The meaning of non-arising is the meaning of non-cessation. The meaning of non-cessation is the meaning of non-abiding. Therefore, it should be said: This statement of the meaning of signlessness is the supreme Dharma of the Buddhas. The teaching of the meaning of the Buddha's Dharma is called the unchanging word. The meaning of the unchanging is taught as the meaning of peace, and as the meaning of complete solitude. The meaning of solitude is the meaning of emptiness. The meaning of emptiness is the meaning of non-abiding. The meaning of non-abiding is thusness. The meaning of thusness is suchness. That which is utterly separated from arising is taught as the meaning of non-cessation. The meaning of non-cessation is the meaning of non-abiding. The meaning of the Dharma, the word of non-abiding, just as the Dharmadhatu abides, so do all Dharmas abide. Just as all Dharmas abide, so do the Buddha's Dharmas abide. Just as the Buddha's Dharmas abide, so do the Dharmas of learning abide. The Dharma without attachment is the meaning of equality. Thus, they abide without otherness. The Dharmas of the Pratyekabuddhas also, here are just as equal.
