完全通晓一切者，圣者赞叹那是精进之最。何时我与我所断灭时，彼时即从一切束缚中解脱。从一切生起之五种障碍中解脱，智者舍弃怀疑与后悔。解除一切结与去除毒箭者，无有障碍且非断灭。何时舍弃傲慢之现行傲慢，彼时乃以精进之力成办事业。何者消除一切相，以及一切戏论皆无所入，何者舍弃一切烦恼，彼精进为智者所赞叹。当精进炽燃而受到赞叹之时，听闻这些精进功德之后，所有十万大名声者，将能获得无生法忍。听闻此后，即使仅有五千人，亦能在佛土中清净忍辱。人与天、非天、人非人，七千众皆能进入殊胜菩提。那时谁能触及殊胜精进？比丘精进坚固者即是我，发起精进后我舍弃身体，安住之时即作死亡之期。超过八万又四千之数，我令身体极度干枯。于一劫中令导师欢喜，我为菩萨而退转。精进品第五。
English
Those who fully understand everything, the noble ones praise that as the best of diligence. When the notions of "I" and "mine" cease, at that time one is completely liberated from all bonds. Liberated from the five obscurations that arise from all sources, the wise abandon doubt and regret. Whoever removes all knots and eliminates the poisonous arrows, is without obscuration and not subject to cessation. When the manifest pride of arrogance is abandoned, at that time work is accomplished by the power of diligence. Whatever eliminates all signs, and all elaborations have no entry, and whatever abandons all afflictions, that diligence is praised by the wise. When diligence blazes and is greatly praised, after hearing these qualities of diligence, all ten thousand great renowned ones will attain the tolerance of non-arising. After hearing this, even five thousand will purify tolerance in this Buddha-field. Humans, gods, asuras, and kinnaras, seven thousand will enter the supreme Bodhi. Then, who will touch the supreme diligence? The monk steadfast in diligence is I, having initiated diligence, I abandoned my body, and while dwelling, I made it the time of death. For more than eighty-four thousand, I made my body extremely withered. For one kalpa, I pleased the guide, and I turned away for the sake of the Bodhisattva.
