When I abandon, those characteristics of discriminating thoughts that examine only it arise and become manifest in a manner that appears, namely, the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines emptiness, and the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines suchness, and the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the ultimate limit, and the signless, and the ultimate truth, and the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the realm of phenomena, namely, whether examining one's own characteristic, or examining qualities, or examining essence. Therefore, he does not attend to those characteristics of discriminating thought that examine only it, and thus completely abandons them. When he completely abandons those, those characteristics of discriminating thought that examine the attainment of others arise and become manifest in a manner that appears, namely, from the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment of the first ground, up to the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment up to the tenth ground, and the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment of tolerance of unborn phenomena, and the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment of prophecy, and the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment of the completely pure Buddha-field, and the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment of completely ripening sentient beings, and from the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment of empowerment, up to the characteristic of discriminating thought that examines the attainment of omniscience, namely, whether examining one's own characteristic, or examining qualities, or examining essence. Therefore, he does not attend to those characteristics of discriminating thought that examine attainment, and thus completely abandons them. Thus, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva completely abandons all forms of the characteristics of discriminating thought by not attending to them, then he is extremely diligent in the realm of non-discrimination, and although he has not yet touched the realm of non-discrimination, there is a samadhi of proper attention that will touch the realm of non-discrimination. That also correctly joins it, follows it by relying on it, follows it by meditating on it, follows it by increasing it, and properly attends to it.

When following after it, one touches the realm of non-conceptualization, which is without manifestation and spontaneously accomplished, and gradually becomes completely purified. Why is the realm of non-conceptualization called non-conceptualization? Because it utterly transcends all analytical conceptualizations, as well as conceptualizations of teachings and examples, as well as conceptualizations of faculties, as well as conceptualizations of objects, as well as conceptualizations of consciousness, and because there is no place for all afflictions and all cognitive obscurations. Therefore, the realm of non-conceptualization is called non-conceptualization. And what is that non-conceptualization? Non-conceptualization is formless, unteachable, without support, without appearance, non-consciousness, without location. When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells in the realm of non-conceptualization, with the non-conceptual wisdom that is without distinction between knower and known, he sees all phenomena as equal to the expanse of the sky. With the knowledge gained from following non-conceptualization, he sees all phenomena as being like illusions, mirages, dreams, optical illusions, echoes, reflections, water moons, and emanations. He also obtains the greatly expanded state of dwelling in great bliss. He also obtains the greatly expanded state of perfect mind. He also obtains the great and greatly expanded wisdom and knowledge. He also obtains the greatly expanded mastery of great exposition. At all times, he will also be able to accomplish all aspects of the benefit of all sentient beings, and the spontaneously accomplished activity of the Buddhas will not be interrupted. Sons of lineage, for example, beneath a hard and solid rock, there is a great wish-fulfilling jewel, a variety of radiant lights, such as silver jewels, gold jewels, various precious gems of stone essence, a great treasure filled with various different jewels. Then, if someone who desires this great treasure comes, someone who knows this great treasure will say this:
