It will become possible to hear the teachings of this place, and having heard them, one will also be able to retain them, and one will not forget them until one attains the supreme, perfectly complete enlightenment of Buddhahood, and one will obtain the fourfold pure conduct of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. What are the four? They are: the purification of sentient beings, the purification of the Dharma, the purification of aspirations, and the purification of the Buddha-field. One will obtain these, and one will obtain the four kinds of pleasing and excellent qualities. What are the four? They are: a pleasing body, pleasing speech, a pleasing mind, and a pleasing birth. One will obtain these, and one will obtain the four entrances to the dharani. What are the four? They are: entering the dharani gate that accomplishes through inexhaustible means, entering the dharani gate that is skilled in the faculties of sentient beings, entering the unconditioned dharani gate that is skilled in karma and its maturation, and entering the dharani gate of forbearance towards the profound Dharma. One will obtain these. I think that such a request to the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha, has not been interrupted. Then, the venerable Shariputra extensively requested the Blessed One about how he had remembered, how he had contemplated, and how he had fully understood the request that had been made. He also requested in this way: "Blessed One, how the request that has been made, how it has been retained, how it has been contemplated, how it has been fully understood, how the conduct of these Bodhisattva Mahasattvas will become completely pure through these, please explain it, Blessed One." After he had requested in this way, the Blessed One said to the venerable Shariputra, "Shariputra, well done, well done! Shariputra, it is also well that you have thought to request this matter from the Tathagata. Shariputra, therefore, listen well and pay close attention, and I will explain it to you." The venerable Shariputra to the Blessed One

Having thus assented, and having listened to the Blessed One's teaching, the Blessed One spoke to him thus: Shariputra, whichever Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not accept all dharmas and does not engage in acceptance, should hold these words of the Dharani mantra. Shariputra, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who holds these dharanis does not become arrogant towards conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. He does not focus, does not aspire, does not abandon, does not take, does not strive, and does not do so for the sake of attaining, abandoning, meditating upon, and increasing them. He does not change, does not manifest, and does not see similar corresponding dharmas, nor does he see non-corresponding ones. He also does not see the arising of dharmas, nor does he see their cessation. He also does not see past dharmas, nor does he see future dharmas, nor does he see presently arising dharmas. Dharma
