《The Noble Great Vehicle Sutra Called the Samadhi of Illusion》 《The Noble Great Vehicle Sutra Called the Samadhi of Illusion》 In Sanskrit: Arya Mayopama Samadhi Nama Mahayana Sutra In Tibetan: The Noble Great Vehicle Sutra Called the Samadhi of Illusion. Volume One. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan was in the Deer Park at Ṛṣipatana in the city of Vārāṇasī, together with a great sangha of twenty thousand Arhat bhikṣus, and twelve thousand Bodhisattvas, namely, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas Lion's Throne, Lion's Wisdom, Well-Dwelling Wisdom, Unequaled Wisdom, Earth Holder, Fire Gift, Water God, Jewel Source, Cave Hidden, Good Protector, Lightning God, Completely Illuminating, Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta, Wisdom Source, Non-Abandoning Perseverance, Seeing Meaningful, and the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Maitreya, and so forth, twelve thousand in all. Also, the sons of the gods Good Boundary and Well-Dwelling Wisdom, and so forth, all of whom had rightly entered the Great Vehicle, twenty thousand in all, were also together. Then, the Bhagavan, surrounded and faced by hundreds of thousands of retinues, taught the Dharma. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Lotus Glory Essence rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with his palms joined, bowed towards the Bhagavan and said to the Bhagavan: "If, in order to ask and then receive a prophecy, the Bhagavan would grant me the opportunity, I would like to ask the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Complete Buddha, some questions." After he had said this, the Bhagavan said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Lotus Glory Essence: "Lotus Glory Essence, for the sake of the Tathagata answering your questions and giving you a prophecy, you are always granted the opportunity, Lotus Glory.

心髓你请问如来应供正等觉，想要什么，我以所问的预言使你心满意足。说完之后，菩萨摩诃萨莲花庄严藏向世尊这样禀告说：世尊，怎样菩萨摩诃萨才能于无上正等菩提不退转，具有五种神通，并且获得如幻三摩地，获得该三摩地后，如何如何使众生的善根圆满，那样那样显现身体，如众生所愿那样说法，怎样才能迅速现证无上正等菩提而成佛呢？这样禀告之后，世尊对菩萨摩诃萨莲花庄严藏这样说道：莲花庄严藏，好啊好啊！莲花庄严藏，你这样先前对过去的如来特别行事，积累善根，对无数百千万亿佛作供养，你这样对一切众生慈爱和悲悯，莲花庄严藏，你心想向如来应供正等觉询问此事是好的。莲花庄严藏，因此你要好好地听，好好地记住，我为你宣说。菩萨摩诃萨莲花庄严藏向世尊禀告说：好的。听世尊的，世尊这样说道：莲花庄严藏，如果具有一种法，菩萨摩诃萨就能于无上正等菩提不退转，具有五种神通，并且获得如幻三摩地，获得该三摩地后，如何如何使众生的善根圆

Heart essence, ask the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, whatever you want, and I will satisfy your mind with the prophecy of what you ask. After saying this, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Lotus Adornment Treasury said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, how can a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva become irreversible from the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, possess the five supernormal knowledges, and also obtain the illusion-like samadhi? Immediately after obtaining that samadhi, how can he manifest bodies in such a way as to perfect the roots of virtue of sentient beings, teach the Dharma according to the wishes of sentient beings, and how can he quickly realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment and become a Buddha? After saying this, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Lotus Adornment Treasury: Lotus Adornment Treasury, good, good! Lotus Adornment Treasury, you have previously performed special deeds for the past Tathagatas, accumulated roots of virtue, and made offerings to many billions of Buddhas. You are so loving and compassionate to all sentient beings. Lotus Adornment Treasury, it is good that you think of asking the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha about this matter. Lotus Adornment Treasury, therefore, listen well and keep it in mind, and I will tell you. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Lotus Adornment Treasury said to the Blessed One: Good. Listening to the Blessed One, the Blessed One said: Lotus Adornment Treasury, if one possesses one Dharma, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva will become irreversible from the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, possess the five supernormal knowledges, and also obtain the illusion-like samadhi. Immediately after obtaining that samadhi, how can he perfect the roots of virtue of sentient beings?
