Having risen from the lion throne, he ascended into the sky above to the height of a single tala tree, and spoke to the many attendants: "I am about to completely enter into nirvana. You who are pure in mind, behold my body, which is like the color of pure gold." In this way, again and again, he rose to the height of seven tala trees, and seven times he said, "I am about to completely enter into nirvana. You who are pure in mind, behold my body, which is like the color of pure gold." He spoke thus seven times. Then, again, he descended from the sky and sat upon the lion throne, and again spoke to the many attendants, saying: "I am about to completely enter into nirvana. You who are pure in mind, behold my body, which is like the color of pure gold." At that time, the Blessed One, the Tathagata, manifested a body like the color of pure gold, in order to openly show it to the many attendants. In this way, three times he ascended to the height of seven tala trees in the sky above, and three times he descended from the sky and sat upon the lion throne. In this way, again and again, twenty-four times, he spoke to the many attendants, saying: "I am about to completely enter into nirvana. Behold my body, which is as firm and indestructible as a vajra, like the color of pure gold, and imperishable. Know that I am as exceedingly rare to see as an udumbara flower. I am about to completely enter into nirvana. You who are single-minded, gaze intently upon my body, which is like the color of pure gold. For example, just as a person tormented by heat, being extremely thirsty, is satisfied by drinking cold water and thinks of nothing else, so too are you like that. I am about to completely enter into nirvana. You who are pure in mind, gaze intently. This is the last time you will see me. After this seeing, there will be no more opportunity to see me. You, the many attendants, do not regret it later, but gaze to your heart's content." Then, the Blessed One again spoke to the many attendants, saying: "After I have passed into nirvana, in order for you, the many attendants, to quickly transcend the three realms of existence,

应当精进修持，不懈怠而谨慎。那时，所有世间的众生，包括天神、人类和四众眷属等，都被涅槃之光所触及，所有瞻仰佛陀的人，三恶道、八无暇、世间天人和人类的烦恼、四根本罪、五无间罪的一切罪业，都将彻底清净，获得解脱。那时，世尊显现出如纯金般光辉的身体，并对众多眷属说：“要一次又一次地观看！”说完，又重新穿上袈裟。出自《圣大涅槃经》，安立教法品第十四。

You should practice diligently, be diligent and cautious without laziness.
