Surpassing the Three Jewels, hence called the unsurpassed victor. The world's protector is attained through practice, the Tathagata becomes a protector without supplication. Buddha's descent into the world is like a cow and its calf, hence called the supreme herd of great compassion. The qualities of the Tathagata pervade all ten directions, the base and ignorant cannot praise them. I praise the power of great compassion, to erase the kindness of body and speech's actions. The beings of the world perform beneficial deeds for me, the Tathagata demonstrates those actions. Cutting off the fully ripened karma of many beings, therefore I prostrate to the one who acts for the benefit of self and others. The world and its relatives perform great deeds of benefit, the Tathagata's actions have no love or hatred. The Tathagata has no characteristics like the world, therefore the mind is non-dual, treating all equally. The people of the world, what they do and what they say are different, the Tathagata's words and actions are not different. All those actions cut off all fabrications, therefore he is known as the Tathagata. Having fully realized all the faults of afflictions, he also manifestly shows residing for the sake of beings. In this world, even having been liberated for a long time, yet for the sake of compassion, he delights in residing in samsara. Although manifestly showing as the body of gods and the body of humans, yet with great compassion following like a cow and its calf. The Tathagata is the mother of all beings, the very heart of great compassion is like a calf. For the sake of beings he experiences suffering, when contemplating with compassion, he has no regret. Possessing a mind of compassion, he does not feel suffering, therefore I prostrate to the one who liberates all suffering. Although the Tathagata performs immeasurable merit, yet the actions of body, speech, and mind are completely pure. Acting for the sake of beings, not for oneself, therefore I prostrate to pure action. Although the Buddha experiences suffering, he does not feel suffering, like seeing others suffer and feeling it oneself. Beings

Even if sentient beings later fall into hell, they will not generate suffering and regret. Even though individual beings experience many sufferings, the single body of the Tathagata takes on all of them. Having experienced those sufferings, their minds become extremely firm. Therefore, they will be extremely diligent towards unsurpassed Bodhi. The Tathagata, with a single, great compassionate heart, regards all individual beings as if they were an only child. Because sentient beings do not know that the Bhagavan will become their protector, they slander the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. All worlds are filled with afflictions, and also filled with limitless faults of wrongdoing. All those afflictions and faults of wrongdoing, at the time of initially generating the mind of enlightenment, are completely destroyed. The Tathagata praises the Tathagata, and no one other than the Tathagata can praise. Today, I praise manifestly with just one Dharma, with the mind of great compassion benefiting the world. The aggregate of the Tathagata's Dharma is loving-kindness, and with the mind of loving-kindness, sentient beings will be completely liberated. That is the unsurpassed liberation, and that liberation is Nirvana. From the Sutra of the Great Nirvana of the Holy One, the twelfth chapter called "Asked by Kashyapa" is completed. Twelfth Chapter, The Chapter of Questions by Kashyapa.
