具德者对妙吉祥童子说道。妙吉祥，从东方方向，从以种种光明照耀的世间界，从彼世尊、如来、应供、正等觉、莲花瓣无垢、星宿之王、花朵普遍盛开的佛刹，菩萨摩诃萨善声菩萨，被百千俱胝那由他菩萨围绕并于前方侍立，为了看我，为了礼拜，为了供养，为了听闻正法白莲花的法类，来到这娑婆世界，这是它的前兆。之后，妙吉祥童子对世尊说道。世尊，那位种姓之子做了什么善根之聚，积累了善根之聚而获得了如此的殊胜？世尊，那位菩萨安住于何种三摩地，请世尊为我宣说那三摩地。世尊，请允许我修习那三摩地。菩萨 摩诃萨他是如何的，颜色如何，形貌如何，相如何，形状如何，他的行为如何？请允许我见到那位菩萨摩诃萨。世尊，以何种征兆催促，菩萨摩诃萨将来到这娑婆世界，请如来善加开示那样的征兆。之后，世尊、如来、应供、正等觉释迦牟尼佛对如来、应供、正等觉圆寂的多宝佛说道。以何种征兆，菩萨摩诃萨善声将来到这娑婆世界，请世尊开示那样的征兆。之后，世尊、如来、应供、正等觉圆寂

The Blessed One spoke thus to Manjushri, who had become a youth: "Manjushri, from the eastern direction, from the world system adorned with rays of light that illuminate in various ways, from the Buddha-field of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, Immaculate Lotus Petal, King of Stars, Flower Universally Blooming, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Sweet-Sound Bodhisattva, surrounded and attended by hundreds of thousands of kotis of Bodhisattvas, in order to see me, to pay homage, to make offerings, and to hear this category of the sacred Dharma White Lotus, is coming to this Saha world; that is its omen." Then Manjushri, who had become a youth, said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, what collection of roots of virtue did that son of good family perform? By accumulating that collection of roots of virtue, he has obtained such distinction. Blessed One, in what kind of samadhi does that Bodhisattva abide? Please, Blessed One, may I hear that samadhi. Blessed One, may I practice that samadhi. The Bodhisattva, the Mahasattva, what is he like, what is his color, what is his form, what are his signs, what is his shape, and what is his conduct? May I see that Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Blessed One, by what sign being urged, will that Bodhisattva Mahasattva come to this Saha world? Please, Tathagata, may you kindly show such a sign."
