第十，说法的章节。 第十，说法的章节。 此后，世尊对药王菩萨等八万菩萨说：药王，此眷属中的天、龙、夜叉、乾闼婆、阿修罗、迦楼罗、紧那罗、摩睺罗伽、人与非人、比丘、比丘尼、优婆塞、优婆夷，以及声闻乘和菩萨乘的众多人，他们是否见到了从如来处亲闻的此法类？ 答：世尊，见到了。善逝，见到了。世尊说：药王，这些都是菩萨摩诃萨。在此眷属中，凡是听到一句偈颂，或一个词，或哪怕对这部经生起一念随喜的四众，药王，我都已授记他们将证得无上正等菩提。药王，无论谁，在如来圆寂后，听闻此法类，甚至听到一句偈颂，哪怕生起一念随喜的善男子或善女子，药王，我都已授记他们将证得无上正等菩提。药王，这些善男子或善女子，已经供养了圆满的百千万俱胝佛陀。药王，这些善男子或善女子，已经对众多百千万俱胝佛陀发起了愿。药王，这些善男子或善女子，为了慈悲众生，应当了知他们已转生于此赡部洲为人。凡是从这部法类中，哪怕仅仅受持一句偈颂，或者读诵，或者宣说，或者如理称述，或者抄写或书写后忆念，或者时时观看，或者对那经卷如同对

Chapter Ten: The Chapter on Expounding the Dharma Chapter Ten: The Chapter on Expounding the Dharma Then, the Bhagavan addressed the bodhisattva Medicine King and the eighty thousand bodhisattvas, saying: "Medicine King, do the gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans and non-humans, bhikshus, bhikshunis, upasakas, and upasikas in this assembly, those of the Hearer Vehicle and those of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, see this Dharma discourse that they have directly heard from the Tathagata? They replied: "Bhagavan, we see it. Sugata, we see it." The Bhagavan said: "Medicine King, all of these are bodhisattvas, great beings. Among this assembly, whoever hears even one verse, or one word, or even rejoices in a single thought towards this sutra, Medicine King, I have predicted that all those four assemblies will attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Medicine King, whoever, after the Tathagata has completely passed into nirvana, hears this Dharma discourse, even hearing one verse, and even rejoices with a single thought, whether they are sons or daughters of good family, Medicine King, I have predicted that they will attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Medicine King, those sons or daughters of good family have paid homage to a complete hundred thousand million nayutas of Buddhas. Medicine King, those sons or daughters of good family have made aspirations to many hundred thousand million nayutas of Buddhas. Medicine King, those sons or daughters of good family, for the sake of compassion for sentient beings, should be known to have been born as humans in this Jambudvipa. Whoever, from this Dharma discourse, even holds a single verse, or recites it, or teaches it, or correctly states it, or copies or writes it and then remembers it, or looks at it from time to time, or treats that scripture as if it were the

Do they revere and respect him with reverence as one would a teacher or instructor? Do they honor him? Do they attend to him? Do they make offerings to him? Do they make offerings to that book with flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, powders, garments, parasols, victory banners, divine banners, and the sounds of musical instruments, and with prostrations and joining their palms? King of Medicine, any son or daughter of good family who holds even one four-line verse from this teaching, or rejoices in it, King of Medicine, I will predict that all of them will attain unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. King of Medicine, if any man or woman should say, "What will those beings be like in the future who will become tathāgatas, arhats, perfectly complete buddhas?" King of Medicine, that son or daughter of good family should be shown to that man or woman, saying, "Whoever holds, hears, speaks, or makes a drawing of even one four-line verse from this teaching, that son or daughter of good family, in the future, look to him as one who will appear in the world as a tathāgata, arhat, perfectly complete buddha." Why is that? King of Medicine, that son or daughter of good family should be regarded as a tathāgata, because even if one holds only one four-line verse from this teaching, the world with its gods should treat him with the same reverence as a tathāgata. What need is there to mention those who fully comprehend, uphold, fully understand, fully proclaim, write or copy, and remember this teaching, and who make drawings of that book with flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, powders, garments, parasols, victory banners, divine banners, and the sounds of musical instruments, and who prostrate with joined palms and pay extreme homage? King of Medicine, that son or daughter of good family will completely
