Then, the venerable Maitreya's son Purna, the Blessed One, with skillful wisdom observing, and cleverly contemplating, heard the teaching spoken in this way, and also heard the prediction of those great Shravakas, and also heard the words endowed with previous practice, and also heard of the Blessed One's excellence, and having become wonderful, having become marvelous, with a mind free from confusion, filled with joy and supreme joy. He, with great joy and great respect for the Dharma, rose from his seat and prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One. Thinking to himself, "Thus, to engage in accordance with the world of different realms, and to teach the Dharma to sentient beings with many skillful wisdom observations, and to thoroughly explain sentient beings attached to this and that, the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Enlightened Buddhas, truly perform difficult deeds. There is no recourse. Monks, what do you think? If you think that only I hold the sacred Dharma, monks, you should not think that way. Why is that? Monks, I clearly remember that in the past, ninety-nine billion Buddhas appeared, and the teachings of those Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Gitas, were all held by this one, just as now I am the most excellent of those who preach the Dharma, so it was in all times and places. In all times and places, he also realized emptiness. In all times and places, he also obtained individual perfect knowledge. In all times and places, he also well realized and understood the Bodhisattva's superior wisdom. He taught the Dharma with great certainty, without doubt, and with complete purity. In the teachings of those Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Gitas, he sought the Dharma and practiced pure conduct. In all times and places, everyone knew him as a Shravaka. He used this method to benefit countless inconceivable beings. He brought countless inconceivable beings to complete maturity in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. In all times and places, he remained close to beings through the deeds of the Buddha. In all times and places, I purified the Buddha-field. He strived to bring beings to complete maturity. Monks, from Vipashyi Buddha and the other seven Tathagatas, the last one is me, and I am also the most excellent of them in speaking the Dharma. Monks, in this fortunate kalpa, in the future, those who will become Buddhas in less than a thousand Buddhas, in their teachings as well, this son of Maitreya will become the most excellent in teaching the Dharma, and will completely hold the sacred Dharma. Similarly, in the future, countless inconceivable Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Gitas, will hold all the sacred Dharma. He will benefit countless inconceivable beings. He will bring countless inconceivable beings to complete maturity in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.

将成为那样。将恒常不断。我将致力于使我的佛土完全清净，使众生完全成熟。他这样完全圆满了菩萨的行持，在无数不可估量的劫后，将证得无上圆满正等觉，成为如来、阿罗汉、圆满正等觉佛陀，具有明行足，善逝，世间解，调御丈夫，无上士，天人师，佛，世尊，名为妙法显现者，将出现在世间，将出现在这个佛土。诸比丘，那时，这个佛土将变成一个三千大千世界，如恒河沙数般的佛土合一。它将以七宝为地基，像手掌一样平坦，没有山丘，完全被七宝楼阁所充满。靠近天界的宫殿，天人也能看到凡人，凡人也能看到天人。诸比丘，那时，这个佛土将没有恶趣，也没有女人，所有众生都是化生，具有梵行，心中想着，身体自身发光，具有神通，在虚空中行走，具有精进，具有正念，具有智慧，身体是金色的，以大丈夫相三十二相庄严其身。诸比丘，那时，这个佛土中众生的食物将变成两种，是哪两种呢？即法喜之食和禅悦之食。他的菩萨将出现百千俱胝无数不可估量之多，所有都获得大神通，通达各种正见，精通一切，善于选择众生。他的声闻将出现不可计数之多，具有大神通，具有大威力，都是八解脱的禅定者。

It will become so. It will be constant and uninterrupted. I will strive to purify my Buddha-field completely and to ripen sentient beings completely. Having thus completely perfected the conduct of a Bodhisattva, after countless immeasurable kalpas, he will manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, becoming the Tathagata, Arhat, perfectly complete Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, Knower of the World, Guide of beings to be trained, unsurpassed, teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, named Manifestation of Excellent Dharma, will appear in the world, and will appear in this very Buddha-field. Monks, at that time, this Buddha-field will become a single Buddha-field, a three-thousand great thousand world system, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River. It will be level like the palm of the hand on a foundation of seven precious jewels, without mountains, completely filled with tiered mansions of seven precious jewels. It will be close to the palaces of the gods, and the gods will be able to see humans, and humans will be able to see the gods. Monks, at that time, in this Buddha-field, there will be no lower realms, and there will be no women, and all those sentient beings will be born miraculously, practicing celibacy, keeping it in mind, their bodies having their own light, possessing miraculous powers, traveling in the sky, possessing diligence, possessing mindfulness, possessing wisdom, their bodies golden in color, their bodies adorned with the thirty-two marks of a great being. Monks, also at that time, in this Buddha-field, the food of those sentient beings will become of two kinds, what are the two? Namely, the food of the joy of Dharma and the food of the joy of meditation. His Bodhisattvas will appear in countless immeasurable hundreds of thousands of billions, all of whom will have attained great super-knowledge, understanding the various correct views, mastering everything, being skilled at selecting sentient beings. His Shravakas will appear beyond counting, possessing great miraculous powers, possessing great strength, all being meditators on the eight liberations.
