There, when the flowers close and the birds' voices become soft, and the Blessed One and the Bodhisattvas delight in meditation, experiencing the joy and happiness of liberation, then know that it is night. When the flowers are opened by the wind, and the birds also make pleasant sounds, and showers of flowers fall there, and winds blow from the four directions, which are extremely fragrant, pleasing, soft, and comfortable to the touch, and the Blessed One arises from samadhi, and the Bodhisattvas also arise from that samadhi, and the Blessed One, the supreme lotus, teaches the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas the Dharma of the Bodhisattva Pitaka, which is far beyond the path of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, then know that it is day. All the wise ones who have been born and will be born possess the thirty-two marks of a great person, have a hundred kotis of light, and have the nature of not falling back until the ultimate of Bodhi. All these Bodhisattvas have a loving heart, a gentle heart, an immaculate heart, a tamed heart, an increasing heart, an equal heart, a joyful heart, a non-wrathful heart, a pure heart, a virtuous heart, a heart that delights in the Dharma, a heart that pacifies the afflictions of all sentient beings, a heart like the earth, a heart that does not delight in worldly talk, a heart that delights in transcendental talk, a heart that seeks all virtuous dharmas, a heart that is always diligent in the absence of aggregates, a heart that pacifies sickness, old age, and death, a heart that burns all afflictions, a heart that pacifies all bonds, a heart that has no pride in all dharmas, and possesses the power of thought, the power of practice, the power of conditions, the power of vows, the power of being without essence and unmixed and able to ascend, the power of definite realization, the power of virtuous roots, the power of samadhi, the power of hearing, the power of giving, the power of morality, the power of patience, the power of diligence, the power of meditation, the power of wisdom, the power of tranquility, the power of insight, the power of clairvoyance, the power of mindfulness, the power of Bodhi, the power of courage, the power to destroy all demons, and the power to subdue all the armies of demons.
