Just showing a little bit, it also showed that planting roots of virtue towards the Buddha would not be in vain. At that time, these verses were spoken: Thus the Buddha is inconceivable, The Buddha's Dharma is also inconceivable, Having faith in the inconceivable, Its fruition is inconceivable. Of those with and without perception, All sentient beings, however many, In hundreds of millions of eons, All have made offerings. And all the Pratyekabuddhas, And the Arhats without outflows, In countless billions of eons, Better than offering all of those. The perfect Buddha abides, Or completely enters into Nirvana, Whoever makes a single añjali, This merit is especially supreme. The Buddha's discipline is not broken, Freely abiding in samadhi, Without doubt in all Dharmas, It is seen by the Buddha's eye. Whoever for a moment to the Sugata, Or day and night cultivates loving-kindness, Whose merit becomes equal to that, In the three realms, there is no such offering. In times past countless eons, Becoming a light-maker surpassing the gods, To the Buddha who became the teacher of the world, I have done not a few virtuous deeds. Running around everywhere for countless eons, That merit has not been exhausted, That itself has become my cause, Therefore, I have attained supreme enlightenment. For the sake of compassion for all the world, Hundreds of Buddhas and billions of Buddhas, To whom offerings were made in previous lives, I know those supreme beings, Will not slander those Buddhas. Like this, I have not obtained forbearance, Even if practicing virtue, in future times, Will not be prophesied like this. When I saw Dipamkara the guide, Then I scattered five lotuses, And spread my hair upon the guide, When I obtained the unborn forbearance, Dipamkara, abiding in the sky, After countless eons, you will become the lord of the Shakya clan, The self-born victor of the Shakya clan, Then the guide prophesied me. When I desired supreme enlightenment, From that time, when running around for a long time, I did many virtuous deeds, For the sake of sentient beings, I experienced suffering, That merit's

Now even a little, Has not been shown by the guides of the world. Seeing beings without protectors become suffering, What was my generosity in the past? When practicing, the Sugatas radiate light, Which Buddhas, the heroes, did I worship? Those who have seen my past and future conduct, Day and night, I recite their names. Two, three, five, or ten, or twenty, Thirty, or abbreviated from that, I recite the names. When practicing for the sake of the world, Which principal Buddhas did I worship in the past? How did I take on so much great suffering, Without abandoning it, having taken it in samsara? Which Buddhas practiced such hardships? Such Buddhas have not appeared otherwise. When seeking many well-spoken words, Hundreds of heads and millions of heads, In the past, I have given up during samsara, Having abandoned the kingdom and kingship, I went forth. When fully seeking this supreme Dharma, Generosity, discipline, and taming are superior, Through diligence, one realizes the supreme Bodhi, For immeasurable eons, I have become like that. The Buddhas' great power is inconceivable, Endowed with all qualities and manifestly superior, The supreme Dharma, inconceivable, is well-spoken, And the inconceivable path is also taught. The tenth chapter, the chapter on the merit of offerings, is complete. Tenth, The Chapter on the Merit of Offerings.
