Ananda, that monk named Midday Sun will also make my Dharma and Vinaya widespread, and he will widely spread its miracles to gods and humans, making it vast and extensive. He is known for his great magical powers, great strength, and great authority, clear, fearless, learned, upholding the Vinaya, upholding the Sutras, upholding the Matrikas, truly explaining, truly teaching, truly praising, truly rejoicing, until he also makes my teachings widespread. Therefore, Ananda, do not grieve, do not lament!

He will treat my (remains) and the Shravaka disciples with respect, honor, service, offerings, and remembrance. He will gradually perfect the accumulation of Bodhi, and in a future time, after a thousand complete kalpas, he will attain unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, becoming the Tathagata named 'All-Illuminating,' in a world called 'Auspicious Kalpa,' which is beautifully adorned with great splendor. Ananda, that householder 'The One with a Topknot' will also cause my teachings to spread widely among gods and humans. Ananda, do not grieve, do not utter lamentations! Ananda, after my passing, in the northern region, there will be a royal palace called 'Prosperous and Flourishing,' which is prosperous with wealth, peaceful, has good harvests, is populous, and is filled with people. There, Brahmins and householders will have faith and joy in my teachings. Ananda, they will also treat my remains after Nirvana and the Shravaka disciples with respect, honor, service, offerings, remembrance, and paintings. There, hundreds and thousands of my Shravaka disciples, who are renowned for their great magical powers, great strength, and great authority, will gather together and spread (the teachings) widely. Ananda, the householders who dwell there are also mostly enlightened, disciplined, fearless, learned, well-versed in learning, intelligent, and deeply wise. Ananda, in that prosperous and flourishing royal palace, any householders who die, at the moment of their death, will mostly be reborn in the Tushita heaven. Any ordained monks who die will mostly fall (into lower realms). Why is that?
