The well-explained, whatever other dharmas there are, all of them abide in this mind and the initial mind. Whatever is the Vinaya of the Hearers, whatever is the Samadhi of the Hearers, whatever is the accumulation of wisdom and the miraculous powers, look at all of them here. That mind which was generated in the past, if it is not something to be entered into, then even the unsurpassed wisdom, how could it become something to be entered into? If the Buddha's teachings are not seen, how could they be heard? In this world, it is not possible for Hearers to arise. Whatever fully self-enlightened Buddhas, from wherever they abide and pass into Nirvana, that armor of virtue, look at it from that very mind. Whatever happiness sentient beings have, whether worldly or beyond worldly, all of it abides in this mind and the initial mind. The ripening of that mind is vast, and if one sees it, even in hundreds of millions of eons, one would not want it to be exhausted. For those who possess birth and destruction, generated by conditions, how do you see the ripening of the emptiness of things by the mind? The mind is generated by conditions, and that mind is also without substance. How do you see the ripening of the mind that possesses no substance? By those objects to be focused on, the mind never arises. Look at the very ripening of that whose praise does not diminish. Having fully understood such a mind, a person with a stable mind, who would waste their life abiding in the supreme vehicle? Those who abide in the eye and form, and abide in feeling and perception, and also abide in formation, without realizing their own nature, with the power of bad intelligence, thinking that they can purify by contemplating the sky, because they have not become pure for a long time, they become those who are not skilled in existence. Therefore, having fully understood that the mind is hollow and insubstantial, not grasping it as the essence, they are empty by their very nature. The mind that is generated dependently, will never be wasted, and whatever are its conditions, they are empty by their very nature. Dharmas that are empty by their very nature, there is nothing to establish in them. All dharmas are examined, and their nature is well explained as such. Whoever is like that.

O, wise one! That, that prophecy of enlightenment, those are not prophesied by form, nor is feeling prophesied. Not by perceptions, formations, and consciousness is also not prophesied. Although one does not perceive phenomena in this, those are also not unprophesied. Whoever possesses such wisdom in this all phenomena, without characteristics, and does not become arrogant with wisdom, those are the prophecies of enlightenment. Such patience arises, and is exhausted by the teaching of wisdom. With the punishment of measure, and with the punishment of weapons, those will become tolerant ones. Those who have such patience, who have arisen well, those endure gain and respect, and he is not arrogant with gain. Such patience is harmful to the wise. Having subdued the two extremes, the wise ones practice the middle way. Therefore, one should cultivate patience, the emptiness of phenomena by nature, that is the path of enlightenment, and I also cultivate that. This is the end of the fourth chapter, called "Praising the Generation of the Mind of Enlightenment." Fourth Chapter: Praising the Generation of the Mind of Enlightenment.
