Thus, a monk who diligently strives in accordance with the Dharma does not generate any Dharma, does not cease any Dharma, and does not abide in any Dharma. Where there is no arising, no ceasing, and no abiding, that is the unconditioned. The nature of the unconditioned is also the practice of the truth by the noble ones. Son of the gods, thus a monk is without excessive pride. Then, the evil one, suffering and unhappy, with his face filled with tears and his eyes brimming with tears, spoke these words: "Wherever this Dharma category is practiced, there is no opportunity for demons. Those who hold this Dharma category, all their demonic deeds will be obstructed." Having spoken thus, the evil one, suffering and unhappy, with regret in his heart, immediately disappeared from that place. Then, the son of the gods, Light-Radiating, said to the youthful Manjushri: "Manjushri, as I understand the meaning of your words, those monks who hear this profound principle of no excessive pride and renounce it, they have no ordination, no full ordination. Those householders who are frightened by this supremely profound principle of no excessive pride, their teacher is not the Tathagata. Any monk or nun, male or female lay follower, who hears this supremely profound principle of no excessive pride and is not afraid, not alarmed, not terrified, and develops faith, they should be known as liberated ones." Then, the Blessed One said to the son of the gods, Light-Radiating: "Son of the gods, it is so, it is as you say. Any monk or nun, male or female lay follower, who hears this supremely profound principle of no excessive pride and is not afraid, not alarmed, not terrified, and develops faith, they should be known as liberated ones. Why is that? Because with this patience, the Bodhisattvas are given predictions of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and with this patience, all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas will certainly attain liberation." The son of the gods, Light-Radiating, asked: "Blessed One, the category of Dharma...

What is the name of this sutra? How should this sutra be held? The Blessed One said: Son of the gods, therefore you should hold this Dharma discourse, called "The Chapter of Manjushri's Transformations." You should also hold the chapter called "Subduing the Maras." After the Blessed One had spoken thus, Manjushri, who had become a youth, and the son of the gods, Light Increase, and that retinue, complete in every way, and the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said. The Great Vehicle Sutra, called "The Chapter of the Holy Manjushri's Transformations," is complete. The Indian Abbot Śīlendrabodhi and Jinamitra, and the reviser, the translator-monk Yeshe De, translated and revised it, corrected it with new language, and established it. The Great Vehicle Sutra, called "The Holy Manjushri's Transformations."
