Twenty-fifth, the Chapter on Encouragement. Twenty-fifth, the Chapter on Encouragement. Monks, now the Thus-Gone One, dwelling near the Bodhi tree, having first attained complete enlightenment, departed alone in solitude. In order to be in harmony with the world, he thought thus: Alas! This Dharma that I have attained and realized is profound, peaceful, utterly peaceful, near to peace, rare, difficult to see, difficult to comprehend, inconceivable, not the domain of thought, but knowable by the noble, the wise, and the intelligent. That is to say, abandoning all aggregates, fully knowing, definitely knowing, ceasing all feelings, the ultimate, without basis, a cool thing, without taking, without near taking, not consciousness, not to be made conscious, unconditioned, exceedingly beyond the six realms, non-conceptualizing, non-conceptualizing, inexpressible, without sound, not expressible by sound, not demonstrable, unimpeded, completely transcending all objects of focus, severed by the path of calm abiding, emptiness, without object of focus, the exhaustion of craving, detachment from desire, cessation, Nirvana. If I were to teach this Dharma to others, and if they did not understand, then I would be weary, exert myself in vain, and teaching the Dharma would become meaningless. I would rather remain silent like a mute. At that time, he spoke these verses: Profound, peaceful, free from dust, clear light, unconditioned. I have attained the nectar-like Dharma. Even if I teach it, others will not understand. I think it is better to dwell in the forest without speaking. Free from words, not stained by the path of speech. Suchness, Dharma, nature, like the sky. The movement of mind and intellect is completely liberated. Supreme, rare, wonderfully great, the holy one knows. This meaning cannot be understood by letters. Only the wise can know it. Beings who have done excessive deeds for former kings. If they hear this Dharma, they will have faith. Here there is no Dharma whatsoever. Whatever is existent or non-existent is not existent. Whoever understands the succession of cause and effect. For him, existence or non-existence does not exist. For hundreds of thousands of countless eons. In the past.

From the Buddhas I have practiced. However, where I and sentient beings, and the forbearance of no-birth, I have not obtained. When here there is no birth and death, this entire Dharma is naturally without self, when I obtain this forbearance, the Buddha Dipamkara prophesied to me. To all the worlds, I have immeasurable compassion. When others request, I will not stay. These beings have faith in Brahma, when they request, the wheel of Dharma will turn. If Brahma touches my feet, there will be beings seeking excellent signs. If you request to speak of the Dharma that is free from dust and vast, then my Dharma should be accepted. Monks, thus, at that time, the Tathagata emitted light from the white hair between his eyebrows, and with that light, this three-thousand great thousand world realm was filled with great light. Then, the lord of the three-thousand great thousand world, the great Brahma with the topknot, by the power of the Buddha, knew the thought of the Tathagata with his mind, and knew that the Blessed One's mind was small and did not want to teach the Dharma. He thought to himself: I should go and urge the Tathagata to turn the wheel of Dharma, there is no mistake. Then, Brahma with the topknot said to the other sons of the Brahma family at that time: Friends, the Tathagata has manifested the supreme perfect enlightenment, but in this way, his mind is small and he does not want to teach the Dharma. Alas! This world is truly pitiful. Friends, alas! This world is extremely pitiful. We should go and urge the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, to turn the wheel of Dharma, there is no mistake. Monks, then, the great Brahma with the topknot, surrounded by sixty-eight hundred thousand Brahmas, led the way in front and went to where the Tathagata was. After arriving, he bowed to the feet of the Tathagata with his head, and with his palms together, he prayed to the Tathagata as follows: Thus, the Tathagata has manifested the supreme perfect enlightenment,
