It is not possible. Similarly, those renunciates and Brahmins do not dwell with their bodies separated from desires, nor do they dwell with their minds separated from desires. Their delight in desires, their craving for desires, their longing for desires, their thirst for desires, their complete torment for desires, their fainting for desires, and their clinging to desires are not truly peaceful. They harm themselves and torment their bodies, experiencing intense and unbearable painful feelings, yet they think they cannot manifest the excellence of the supreme human Dharma, the distinction of seeing the noble wisdom. This is the first example manifested for the Bodhisattva. Furthermore, he thinks thus: Even if those renunciates and Brahmins dwell with their bodies and minds separated from desires, but their delight in desires, from what is called 'seeking fire' onwards, all of that should be connected as before. Just as a person takes a wet wooden rubbing base and places it on the ground, and rubs it with a wet wooden rubbing stick, he cannot produce fire. Similarly, those renunciates and Brahmins... all of that should be connected as before, they think they cannot manifest the excellence of the supreme human Dharma, the distinction of seeing the noble wisdom. This is the second example, previously unheard and unknown. Furthermore, if those renunciates and Brahmins dwell with their bodies and minds separated from desires, and their delight in desires... all of that should be connected in the same way, their those are truly peaceful, they harm themselves and torment their bodies, although they experience intense and unbearable painful feelings, they are able to manifest the excellence of the supreme human Dharma, the distinction of seeing the noble wisdom. For example, if a person wants fire, wants light, and seeks light, he takes a dry wooden rubbing base and rubbing stick, places them on the ground and rubs them, he is able to produce fire and make the light burn. Similarly, those renunciates and Brahmins... experiencing feelings,

Up to the middle part (of the feeling) is the same as before. However, he thought, I can manifest the difference of the noble wisdom seeing, which is superior to the supreme human dharma. This is the third example that has not been heard before and not known before. Monks, then the Bodhisattva thought like this: Now I am also physically separated from desires, and mentally separated from desires. My "joy in desires" and so on are all connected as before. That of mine is also close to peace, and the "suffering" that is harmed by oneself and causes pain to the body, and so on, are all connected as before up to the middle part of "feeling". However, I thought, I can manifest the difference of the noble wisdom seeing, which is superior to the supreme human dharma. Monks, in this way, the Bodhisattva stayed on Gaya Mountain, the top of Gaya Mountain, until joy (arose). He traveled around on foot and went to the village of the village chief, the prosperous Kalaba, and after arriving, he saw the Nairanjana River there, with clear water, a flat bank, decorated with trees and beautiful groves, and nearby there was a village for use. The Bodhisattva was very happy and thought: Ah! This place is flat and pleasant, suitable for meditation, and this is enough for a virtuous man who seeks seclusion. I am also a person who seeks seclusion, I should stay here. Monks, in this way, the Bodhisattva thought like this: I have come to this Jambudvipa, just when the five degenerations have arrived, and sentient beings like inferiority, are full of heretics, are caught in various views, and are attached to the integrity of the body. Fools are completely tormented by suffering, seeking purification in various ways, and following such teachers: using mantras, licking hands, not begging, not speaking, eating many roots, not eating meat and fish, not going out in summer, completely abandoning alcohol, bran and water, begging for food from one, three, five, or seven families, (eating) roots, fruits, fish dung, auspicious grass, etc.
