Coloring with pigments, coloring with fabrics, dazzling rituals, dream analysis, bird language, women's names, men's names, elephant names, horse names, cow names, goat names, sheep names, dog names, clear knowledge, accurately combining sounds, changing sounds, past generations, past events, Vedas, prophecies, definite words, the weight of letters, word combinations, sacrificial rituals, the system of stars, the system of Samkhya, the system of Yoga, the collection of actions, the system of Vaisheshika, the knowledge of wealth, the system of Jupiter, the system of water, the system of Asuras, the language of birds and wild animals, the knowledge of logic, the Chinese illusion wheel, beeswax work, sewing, digging, leaf nets, mixing incense, and so on, all these worldly arts, and all the transcendental affairs of gods and humans, the Bodhisattva is particularly outstanding. At that time, Shakya Vajrapani offered his daughter Satsoma to the Bodhisattva. King Suddhodana also gradually took her as a consort and offered her to the Bodhisattva. At that time, the Bodhisattva, in order to merely conform to the world, dwelt among eighty-four thousand women, showing joy and playfulness. Among all those eighty-four thousand women, Shakya's daughter Satsoma was empowered as the chief of the queens. At that time, Shakya's daughter Satsoma did not hide her face no matter who she saw, whether it was her mother-in-law or family members. Those people, because she was a bride who always sat shyly, ridiculed her, saying, "This person is always uncovered." At that time, Shakya's daughter Satsoma, having heard those words, sat in front of her family members and spoke these verses: When sitting, standing, and walking, the noble ones are beautiful when uncovered. A precious jewel, radiant with light, is beautiful when it shines at the top of a banner. The noble one is beautiful when walking, and equally beautiful when coming.

Whether standing or sitting thus, the noble one is beautiful in all places. The noble one is beautiful even when speaking, and equally beautiful when remaining silent. For example, the Kalapingka bird, its sight and sound are the same. Wearing clothes of Kusha grass, wearing poor clothes, and a thin body, That too is beautiful with its own radiance, the virtuous one is adorned with virtue. Whoever is without sin, the noble one is always virtuous. A child who commits sins, no matter how adorned, is not beautiful. Those who have sin in their hearts but gentle words, are like pouring nectar into a vessel of poison. Like the roughness of a crack in a rock, the inside is also rough, Those like that are like smearing the mouth of a snake. Those who are virtuous, everyone comes to them, everyone prostrates, Like all the landing places, they are the nourishment for all beings. The noble ones are always like a vase filled with milk. Seeing such a pure self-nature is auspicious and virtuous. Whoever abandons sinful friends for a long time, And is fully embraced by a virtuous friend like a precious jewel, Completely abandoning sins, develops excellent delight in the Buddha's teachings. Seeing such a one has auspicious results. Whoever subdues the body, thoroughly subdues the faults of the body, Whoever subdues speech, and is always without idle talk, Hides the senses, is extremely subdued, and has a tamed mind, What is the use of covering the face for such a one? Even if the body is covered with a thousand clothes, Whoever has a hollow mind, is without shame and without embarrassment, Whoever does not have such qualities and does not have true words, Those walk the world more naked than the naked. Whoever hides the mind, always subdues the senses, Is content with his own wife, and does not think of other sentient beings, Such a one appears like the sun and moon, without needing to be covered. What is the use of covering the face for such a one? Furthermore, possessing righteousness, great self-nature, wise in thinking of others, Likewise, the hosts of gods know her thoughts, Know her discipline, qualities, vows, and mindfulness. Therefore, why should she cover her face? Monks, King Suddhodana heard this kind of courage and teaching verses of the Shakya daughter Earth-Nourishing Woman. Having heard this, they were satisfied, pleased, rejoiced, were very happy, joyful, and their minds were at ease.

After that, a pair of garments made of fine silk and adorned with various precious jewels, a pearl necklace worth a hundred thousand million taels of gold, and a gold necklace adorned with fine red pearls were presented to Sakya's daughter, Sa Tso Ma, and this was specially said: 'How is my son adorned with qualities? How well does the bride herself speak of her qualities? The meeting of these two pure beings is like the similarity between butter and the essence of butter.' This is the twelfth chapter, the chapter on demonstrating skills. Twelfth Chapter: The Chapter on Demonstrating Skills.
