即使（菩萨）已经承诺作为勇士们的仆人和学生，并且已经进行了侍奉和尊重，但是如果不持有、不讲解、不阅读、不使之完全理解、不进入，并且不住于这个修行，那么，阿难陀，那位菩萨就没有供养过去、未来和现在诸佛如来。阿难陀，如果菩萨听闻并完全理解这个法门，为了使正法长久住世，为了使佛陀的血脉不中断，也为他人广为、正确地、彻底地宣说，并且也安住于这个修行，那么，阿难陀，可以肯定的是，那位菩萨已经供养了过去、未来和现在 诸佛世尊。也已经以恭敬之心进行了侍奉和尊重。世尊如是宣说之后，具寿阿难陀、居士勇猛、那些比丘、那些菩萨、天、人、非天和乾闼婆等世间众生心生欢喜，对世尊所说表示赞叹。出自《圣大宝积经》之法门品类百千品中的《圣勇猛居士所问经》第十九品圆满。印度堪布苏伦扎菩提和校正译师班德耶谢德共同翻译、校正并确定。 《圣勇猛居士所问经》。

Even if (a Bodhisattva) has pledged to be a servant and student of the heroes, and has already performed service and respect, but if he does not hold, does not explain, does not read, does not make it fully understood, does not enter, and does not abide in this practice, then, Ananda, that Bodhisattva has not made offerings to the Buddhas Tathagatas of the past, future, and present. Ananda, if a Bodhisattva listens to and fully understands this Dharma teaching, in order to make the true Dharma abide for a long time, in order to prevent the lineage of the Buddha from being interrupted, and also widely, correctly, and thoroughly proclaims it to others, and also abides in this practice, then, Ananda, it is certain that that Bodhisattva has made offerings to the past, future, and present Buddhas, the Bhagavat. He has also performed service and respect with reverence. After the Bhagavat spoke thus, the venerable Ananda, the householder Ugra, those monks, those Bodhisattvas, gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, and other beings of the world rejoiced and praised what the Bhagavat had said.
